Hello, I live in Brazil and I ordered a DNA test. Now I was trying to send back my sample and I discovered that the Brazilian post office and customs do not allow us to send biological samples abroad. They returned to me the samples. Now I don't know how to send the samples to be analysed in your labs. What should I do??
I'm curious if there's an issue with my raw DNA, as it only took 2 days for my husband's to be processed. Not trying to be impatient, just curious if I need to delete and try again. I sent in a support ticket August 30th, with no answer, so figured I had better try here. Thank you.
I ordered 2 kits, one for my wife and one for me. My father was adopted but we suspected that he was of Germain or of that area descent. My mother's mother and grandmother were British, her father was Scott Irish. My wifes father was primary Swedish and her mother, European, English, Irish and possibly Cherokee. I'm fairly confident that I registered each of our kits separately. When we got out results, my wife was about 50% Scott Irish Welsh and I was only about 11% Scott Irish Welsh even though my mother was almost exclusivley Celtic.
The red flag was raised when we got notified of a DNA match that my first cousin is a match to my wife, first cousin to my wife and not me.
Did I get them switched? Did My Heritage somehow get them switched?????
most everyone of my relationship are incorrect. since upgrading my whole tree has been screwed. can't do as much as i did with basic account. i want to add people and make corrections. a lot of entries are double some triple. can't make corrections. do not want to print a tree with names that say living. done the privacity option, still no first nsme. I need a refund so I can get an account elsewhere.
Two days ago I got a message saying, "Hooray! Your DNA sample has arrived at the MyHeritage DNA lab." I'm a little concerned, because I put my DNA kit in the mail more than three weeks ago. Is this delay likely to cause a problem? Jonathan Weiner
I uploaded my 23andme raw data to My Heritage, and am very disappointed with the results. My Heritage claims I have 0% Scottish ancestry, when I know for a stone cold fact I do. I have lines on both sides of my family that can be definitively and accurately traced back several centuries to Scotland.
If I can't trust that portion of my DNA results -- that I KNOW is incorrect -- what about the rest? Any help in understanding this would be appreciated, unless your help consists of "All this DNA stuff is BS."
I want to link my DNA results from MyHeritage to my name in a tree managed by someone else. I am a site member of the other tree. I want the site manager of the other tree to view my ethnicity and matches. How do I do this?
I uploaded a gedcom to My Heritage from my public tree on Ancestry assuming living people would be hidden as they are on Ancestry. This does not appear to be the case but I can't tell. I do not want to be responsiible for other living people in my tree having their personal info out there.
How can I know for sure what others see? Taking my tree down for now.
I don't suppose I am the first to ask this "question", but I'm not going to go through all the FAQs to find others.
I could ask a question, which would be: My Heritage, can you please stop sending me the same Discoveries over and over again and patting yourselves on the back for a wonderful job well done.
Yes, I know it is automatic computers who send out the Discoveries rather than real people. It might be better if it was people who could assess whether I had had the information before or not. The compuyrers don't seem to know.
You send me something that has been added to another family tree, and if I should foolishly add the details to mine the computer sendsthat fact and those details to all the other people working on the same details in their trees. Then - guess what - the robotic computers send me some new Discoveries - just added to such and such a website.
It's going round and round in circles all the time. I don' have time for doig the same task over and over again!
I have ticked the box for no more Discoveries to be sent.
And, oh yes, please don't renew my subscription when my first - and last - one expries in January!!
How is it possible that some one can take my entire familytree which I did quite some research on and then add their name as manager of it all? Below is proof of this my entire research was copied and is managed by some one else who is not me. How is this possible???
I have been doing my trees since the '60s. My searches have been long and hard, so I will stick with what I've found. A large number are from England, however, no mention of that. I was very sick yesterday wondering about my parents; what a horrible thing you have done to my mind. You will never know. 33% Scandivan.....I will never belive your results. Thankfully I found your blog site. It has helped me to greatly believe you DO NOT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING. Thank you bloggers. I will also be telling people do not use MyHeritage for anything.
