My sons DNA kit has been say Raw Date Produced for the pass 3 days. I have called support a couple times and they keep saying within the next 24 hours it will be avalaible. It's been 72 hours. PLEASE HELP ME GET MY RESULTS TODAY
I ordered 4 DNA kits, I sent them out through DHL on September 11 from Macau with MyHeritage Commercial Invoice and Declaration Letter along with the package to ease customs declaration. The package arrived in Houston on September 14, 2018.
DHL tried to deliver but "Delivery attempted - consignee premises closed", and then "Address information needed; contact DHL".
I contacted DHL providing the same address and phone number, as written in the Commercial Invoice provided by MyHeritage.
And I also contacted MyHeritage support, which adviced me to contact DHL (which I already did...).
Now I am stuck, felt helpless, there is nothing I could do, as DHL tried to delivery and seems the address MyHeritage provided is not reachable, it makes me doubt if the whole process is a scam.
I really hope that what I felt is wrong, please somebody help me out with this issue!
Hello. I sent two kits. One is having DNA extracted. The other kit still shows (a day later) specimen received. Is there a problem with the one that shows just received, or is it just where they are in the "stack"?
Hi, My brother-in-law recently had his DNA tested as he wanted to find out anything about his biological father. My mother-in-law was a single teenager when he has born and told him nothing about his father or other family members. She would be evasive and down right nasty when he tried to ask her anything. Anyway the results are back and he has a number of close relatives indicated, whom we have never heard of so suspect they are relatives of his biological father but, the "estimated relationships" don't add up. I suspect the % shared for 1/2 relationships will be different from full relationships but I can't quite understand where a 490.2cM of shared DNA would place the "new relative" on his family tree as because of age there is no way they could be a great niece/uncle. Or again because of age where a 129.8cM would be a 2nd cousin 2xremoved as it would mean his father would have been long dead before he was even though of. Please help.
I uploaded raw data yesterday for a few of my siblings. Some of them say "Pending Processing: and some say "In Progress -results expected in 1-2 days". What is the difference and why are they different?
My results have come back 17% Italian with 0% Greek, when both parents have tracebale and recurrent generations from different Greek Islands. Also, I have shared DNA with Greek matches on MH but no shared Greek or Italian ethnicity and they only load on greek ethnicity, so someting is not right? I understand the inter-mixing of mediterreans but when I contacted MH help live chat they rightly pointed out that Southern Italy was invaded numerous times by Greece and vice versa. Given this, shouldn't there perhaps be a Greco-Roman or Southern Italian-Greek ethnicity? Its a bit misleading saying people are Italian ethnicity when in fact it may be are regional Sth Italy-Greece ethnicity?
I manage 3 accounts - my own and my parents' - just the free account level.
My computer used to display the DNA Matches and Ethnicity Estimate on all accounts easily but now, while I can open and navigate around all accounts, the whirling circle never stops whirling and the DNA Matches and Estimate won't display. Nothing has changed about my computer, internet connection is fine and the DNA matches display perfectly on Ancestry and FTDNA.
What can I do to make the DNA Matches and Ethnicity Estimate display on my computer again? I can look on another computer that's not mine but that's a nuisance. I would like to correct the problem.
I have an instance in my tree whereby my uncle was born to my Grandmother BEFORE she met my Grandfather. I don't know who his father is. But when I add him it is automatically assumed he is my Grandfather's son, but he is not. Is there any way to do this? I have tried the 'Remove Connection' button, but it only allows you to remove from both parents. When i use the 'Add to exisiting person' button it connects him to both of them again!
My consistency checker has not been working for at least a few weeks now. Is anyone else having the same problem? When I click recalculate it says "Checking for issues (0 of 3,977 people)". It doesn't matter how long I wait the status doesn't change. I use Chrome for my browser, I tried Firefox and Internet Explorer, with the same results. I have cleared the cookies and my history and still no change.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Is there a way for me to submit a "ticket"? I have not called the support line yet.
Thank you for taking the time to read this post. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
So I tested myself first and then my mother. My mother and I are linked as mother and daughter, but the same never happened with my father and I after I tested him. Does this mean that he is not my biological father? Our DNA results don’t vary that much to where it looks suspicious, but I’m not sure anymore.
I understand MyHeritage wants to make money, but honestly for $70-100 people should be able to help improve MyHeritage system's records by at least allowing people to confirm or deny record matches for free. I was only able to reconcile a handful of matches that had been duplicated on my dad's family tree site becuase I had reached my limit. If you don't want to provide more detailed info of potential matches unless people pay a membership fee, then I understand, but seriously we should be able to help people confirm connections for free. This only strengthens your database and competetiveness, it doesn't weaken your business model. On the contrary it serves only to frustrate people, leaving them unimpressed, feeling fed up and doesn't incentivize people to want to pay for a membership. Its sort of like a negative reinforcement punishement, who wants that?
On Ancestry and FTDNA it shows that I'm 15-17% British and 7-10% Iberian totatling about 25%. On MyHeritage it shows that I'm exactly 25% Iberian and 0% British. On GEDmatch, the labels are kinda weird and vague but from what I gather I seem to be more North European than South European (on several admixture calculators where "Iberian" is actually an option, it shows about 9-10%). So I was wondering if MyHeritage confused British with Iberian? Cuz everywhere else distinguishes between the two.
I am Albanian from Kosovo, Kosovo is in border with Albania, populated to 95% Albanian like me,
My haplogroup is J2b2-L283 it's proven to be a 100% Illyrian haplogroup i do the test with Family tree dna, the particularity of Kosovo is that it is surrounded by high mountains, which has prevented other ethnic groups from invading us, the Albanian language is one of the oldest in europe, more and more languists say it is the oldest in europe at least older that the Greek.
I do not want to hurt anyone, neither the Greeks nor anyone, I'm just trying to understand, the Greeks and Albanians we probably have a comune origin before
For example the names of the Greek gods that have an Albanian meaning whereas in Greek no
1) Penelope who was waiting odysseus for her husband, he went to the Trojan War for 10 years, but his return to penelope lasted 10 years more because odysseus had punctured the eye of the son of Poseidon the Cyclops, and Poseidon to get rid of him put some obstocals on the sea for him to die, but he's not dead, in total his journey lasted 20 years, penelope would have to remarry since odysseus was not coming back, but she did not want then, she had when I finish knitting this veil I'll marry again, but all she knits during the day she redefines it at night to not get married.
Albanian: Penelyp (Pen = thread, E lyp = She asks) = she asks for thread (to knit).
2) odysseus: husband of penelope, his total journey lasted 20 years.
Albanian: Udhësi (The traveler)
I can give you thousands of examples, we Albanians all our names mean something.
My name : Leutrim (Le = born, trim = brave) = brave born.
my 91.8% (Greek) is Albanian.
my 4.2% (Irish, Scottish and Welsh) comes from over 2800 years ago the Celts were next to us in the Balkans, it proves that we have been in the balkans for thousands of years.
my 2.7% (People of the Balkans) this therm is not yet precise enough, I can't give more details, some Albanians have more than 90% of Balkans while others like me have more than 90% Greek.
my 1.3% (Ashkenazi Jew) it is strange and interesting because a lot of Albanians have 1-2% Jewish Ashkenazi.
Myheritage studied Balkan peoples in the north (croatia) and balkans in the south (Greece) but not the Albanians which is a very serious fault, so that the dna tests for the balkan peoples are all fake .
It's really important to study Albanian
Albanian gheg (Kosovo, northern albania, montenegro, macedonia, south and south east of serbia)
Albanian tosk (South Albania, South Italy, Greece, South Macedonia)
after doing this the results for the peoples of the Balkans will be very accurate.
A proof that proves to me that the Greek and Balkan group designates more Albanians than anything else because, during the Ottoman Empire, the Turks stole our children to put them in the army of the Ottoman Empire, today there are 3-7 million Albanians living in western turkey on the European side, some still speak a little Albanian, for example the father founder of Turkey Mustafa Kemal Atatürk has Albanian origins of his father, all the Turks from the west near the European side who do a genetic test have a lot of Greek and Balkan, and in my correspondence I have people who come from Turkey but I'm 100 & European so 0% Turkish we correspond with the group "Greek and Balkans".
Kıvanç tatlıtuğ "Turkish actor" blond with blue eyes https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kıvanç_Tatlıtuğ
Tatlıtuğ was born on 27 October 1983, in Adana, to Erdem and Nurten Tatlıtuğ. During an interview he has stated that his father is Albanian from the city of Pristina.
He said in public that he is of Albanian origin etc
there is really a lot of incoerance with myheritage and their group balkans and greek, I try to contact them to explain them but I have the impression they do not care.
It's very important balkan, myheritage please don't give up the Albanians and the Balkans.
