Very often I find 2, 3 or 4 matches for one person in the same three. This problem startet with the new functions - copy and discoveries. It would be nice, if you where asked when close similaryties occurs - Christian/Kristian is one examble.
Probably will say I have to pay for this. Well will find out I guess. I was notified I have matches for my trees. When I want to confirm them, all 4 of them out of 8. I click to confirm just to find out another of LDS is a paid subscription. I can't afford to pay so what do you do? Do you just take your tree off?
I have sent thie some message on 20.4.2016 with the some enclosers. but answers was not sent. I compare it with MH members which have FTB version 7. Version 7 is OK.
As for me, I think, that is problem somewhere in program. Work on version 8 and repare it, please. This version 8 has many next problems. I have sent to MH a lot of problems what I found. Without answer.
Now all is OK. You made changes in version 8 of FTB. Yesterday I started FTB and Smart matches was not. After a moment FTB wanted to synchgronised. After synchronisation Smart Matches was OK. Number of version of FTB was not chaned. Mistakes in program was repared. Thats all.
You see, all my live I was IT specialist and project manager in computering technological processes. I have ended technical uuniversity in 2 specialisaton. In the meantime I recognize where is problem. I was await this answer.
Two weeks ago "Smart Matching" no longer added information or close relatives to my tree upon confirmation. The feature accepts the match as complete but no new information or close relatives are posted to my tree.
After a few emails were exchanged with Tech Support the problem was identified as a "Bug" and my issue was logged.
Today the problem expanded. I can no longer edit or add information to anyone in my tree. When I attempt to do so I get an "Error" message, advising me to "Try again later". This new development has lasted throughout the day.
I use MyHeritage online rather than FTB due to past data loss.
Can anyone advise if there is anything I can do to remedy or work-around these problems?
Dean I rec'd your email. However I am concerned when having my smartmatches turned off on Builder, they should also be turned off on the on-line side as well. What is the point of turning off in 1 place, and available on the other. This is not right!

To turn off SMartMatches for your tree's within your family site you will need to move your mouse to your name in th eupper right hand corner of the screen and click on the little arrow next to your name. From the menu that appears you will need to click on "My Privacy".
You will then be taken to your privacy settings page where you will see to the left a list of site names where under each you will have the options "Access" and "Content". You will need to click on "Content" where you will then see to the right appear a list of all the tree's you have within the site.
From here you will be able to unmark the settings for SmartMatching for that specific tree as you will see in my test site and trees screenshot.

It may be the case that direct communication with Michi is a prudent means of determining the exact details of her problem before hazarding a "solution". Let us hope that when her problem is solved, and if it proves to be common, he will sumarize the results for us here.
I am new here. I uploaded my gedcom, over 10,000 people. Smart matches has been working on this for thirty hours now. What is going on? I expect that with a fairly large sized set as I have, it might not get done in five minutes but this is ridiculous.
Also, I bought a premium account. I filed a support message, got a ticket, but no response...waiting over a day.
