Also I want the married name of women to appear for their name and in brackets their maiden name just as it works in online Family Tree. Why does this not happen! Please deal with this and give me some answerrs and instructions!
I just tested my mother-in-law. Knowing her ancestry quite well, I used it to make sense of the results.
We are very pleased with finding out that her mother was not only Ashkenazic Jewish but also had c. 15 % Sefardic ancestry (Iberian).
However, I am dismayed by the fact that the DNA from her Mordvin father caused confusion for the analysts. I was expecting him to be generally "East European" but he was 0 % East European. This is most likely due to the fact that his ancestral village kept Slavic immigrants at bay for a millenium, and so he had no Slavic ancestry and thus there is no East European (apparently defined as Ukrainian, Russian and Belorussian) ancestry. However, the non-Slavic ancestries that are represented in the database and are most closely related to the Mordovians were connected to him. And so the result made him a mixture of Nordics, Balts and Balkan peoples although we know that he was Volga-Finnic.
Moreover, my mother-in-law was 0.9 % Inuit, but knowing that there is no database content for nationalities between the White sea and the Bering strait (the arctic part of Eurasia), I take this simply to be arctic DNA that has trickled down southwards.
This makes me wonder whether Volga-Finnic and other nationalities will be represented in the future and if the results can be reanalyzed at that point.
