I created some posters/charts, and although the default language for my site is English, parts of tha charts were printed in hebrew. Also - maiden names were printed inside inverted ellipsys )name( instead of (name), and this too seems to be related to the Hebrew that crawled in. Also - the default title generated for the charts was in Hebrew except the names.
I agree that the Family Book feature in myheritage.com needs some improving and has a few bugs that need fixing.
During the Family Book generation of the "Notes" pages, whjen it transcribes a Biography the resultant text layout is condensed & loses appealing formatting, including removing spaces directly after most full stops, colons & inverted commas.
It also removes blank lines and paragraph formatting.
Further, when it transcribes another fact such as a Military Award that has a Fact Photo & Note attached to it, it generates a series of meaningless ugly code (presumably instead of inserting the Fact Photo) before the Note.
It also appears to randomly miss a full blank line between some people listed - a clear spacing between the very bottom text or edge of the photo and the top of the text of the next person should always exist for each & every person listed.
The Family Book also needs more options prior to generating it at all, such as:
- Adding "The End" or some such, perhaps ruled off, at the end.
- Adding a custom-text Secondary Title Page, and/or an End Page.
- Adding your own photo to the Title Page (or a custom Secondary Title Page)
- A mechanism to better choose the scope of family members in your tree from which to generate a Book, i.e. choose to stop at certain people (without manually disconnecting them form the tree 1st etc.), somehow?
In general, I really like the Family Book feature, love how it generates the lists, notes, titles, order etc.
I have the desktop software and use the MyHeritage website. When printing a standard chart (such as all-in-one, or ancestors) is there any way to have the relationship to the tree's root person (or someone I select) to be printed under each person's name?
In other words, if it's my family tree chart, is there really no way to have everyone else on the chart have a little note printed under their name that says "third cousin once removed," etc.?
If that's not possible, is there any website or other software that will do this?
