Peter Perry b. 1797 in New York (according to censuses) was married 3 times. 1st time to Cynthia McMillan in New York and had 5 kids, Horace L. (1827-1892), Diantha (1832), William Wallace (1834-1912), James Orson (1837-1877), and Seymour Commodore (1839-1919). All the kids that I have marriage records for, including Seymour, claim their mother was Cynthia McMillan. This family shows up again in the 1855 Wisconsin state census in Columbus, Columbia, Wisconsin. Rachel dies in 1857 in Wisconsin. In 1858 Peter Perry marries the third wife, Amarillas Eaton. I am trying to find the marriages of the first two wives
Hello everyone!I am currently searching for any information relating to my great great great grandfather Malaki TUIGAMALA and grandmother Saina TALIMAO who possibly goes by Raina TALOMAO. I’m specifically in search of their original birth dates and their parents. According to my family tree on FamilySearch, Malaki has no listed parents and Saina has no listed parents. It completely stops with them. Malaki’s estimated birth was about 1854 in Iva, Samoa and died August 14th, 1932. Saina was born in 1858 in Savai’i, Samoa and died on February 10th, 1935. They were married about 1877 in Iva, Savai’i, Western Samoa. Here is my relation to them:Malaki and Saina are the parents of Afatasi TUIGAMALA.Afatasi TUIGAMALA and Aloese Tauali’i MATAGI are the parents of Leuiga TUIGAMALA.Leuiga TUIGAMALA and Fa’asega GISA are the parents of Sa’olotoga Uiliata GISA.Sa’olotoga Uiliata GISA and Etelini Malini TOFA are the parents of Mesepa GISA (my mother).Mesepa GISA and Bill WILSON are my parents.Any information on them or any of my ancestor’s would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.-Erika Wilson.
I'm seriously curious? I took tests before with companies I never get results like this I generally get 3 continents and not asia rather america. On ancestrydna I'm 90% subsaharan african 83% west african a combination of different countries I got all of west africa. Then other second test I believe I'm 50% west african 40% southern and central african. No eastern or northern african. I have about 9% european on the first test and 8 on the second I was below 1% native american now on the new test I'm 1% native american. 23andme is similar I'm 84% west african 2% southern african and 2% unknown african and 10% european and close to 1% native american. Now this test shows me to be totally different I'm 73.3% west african total 10.7% east african 10.7% north african 4.7% european and .9% nepali. No native american at all... No southern african. And a big chunk of north african I am never put as north african it's always black white native american in that order too. And most of my tests don't show east african except the first showed eastern bantu but only 2% 7% range still below 10% and ancestrydna removed it in the new test. I feel this test though is more what I have dealt with than the other ones... I get several times where people think I'm north african like egyptian or east african like ethiopian ( I tested for kenyan which obviously is east african as well) ever so rarely something like Indian like nepali... I never am read as triracial (black white native american) the closest is that people look at my eyes and think I'm part asian. I can't even begin to figure why that is because my mom is part asian but it never shows in me because it's way small in her .4% so yeah... Or is that because I may be part native american. Idk but no one ever thinks I'm mixed with white or native american I never really liked getting european as the result because I can't see it in my phenotype at all I mean I'm light skinned but not even in the way white people are. So it never made sense why that would be the secondary in my ethnicity. This makes sense. West african east african and north african and a small percentage of european. But I'm curious if myheritage is a credible source. I get similar results on gedmatch to here a mixture of west african and east african plus either middle eastern or north african and europeans and small splashes of native american and asian depending on the calculator. Same with dna.land west african is like 75% but east african is like 12 or 13% and 2% north african 1.5% middle eastern 1.5% asian and the rest european my ancestry is the same through the three outlets it seems but then it turns on its head on ancestrydna and 23andme with only black white and native american mixture. Which just doesn't feel like that fits me tbh. But it could fit my heritage I guess none of my family speaks of nepali ancestry or north african or east african heritage I'm a black american. But they do talk about black white native american ancestry on both sides but its only my dad's side that has signs of having all three heritage being la creole down his line and my mother having no native american ancestry leads me to believe the three come from my dad but I don't know what to think. I mean this test fits what I experience in life. But not my family background. So I don't know what to believe? It's like things were easier before I knew anything I could just say unknown black american. Now it's like something different everyday. What's the most accurate test as oppose to other tests? Should I put stock in this test? Or ancestrydna and 23andme? This isn't the only test gedmatch and dna.land align more with this test than ancestrydna and 23andme. Advice?

Hi looking for advice and ideas. i have recently started rsearching my family tree and have come to a dead end thanks to my great grandmother. I have her details Florence May Bouchier from her childrens birth certificate i know she was born in 1869 Jan but cannot find her birth anywhere that would fit in to her having her children and where she lived later in life. Not sure what to try . Was that really her name or did she chamge it. She ended up in Northampton and was on record there in 1939 as Florence Higgs but she never married him or I cannot find marriage certificate. Did that person exist or did she use a fake name . Is this common. Any advice would b appreciated .
I will bake a chocolate cake and send if someone can solve this mystery. It would be a great kindness. I am looking for Ellen Nelson AND I Can't find her anywhere! In sum,
Mattie Ellen Lankford Baker Parker (my mother's mother) was born August 16, 1884 and died February 9, 1954. She is buried in Pine Hill cemetery, Burlington, NC in Section P, Lot 31.
Mattie Ellen Lankford was born to James Lankford (son of Green and Iby Lankford from Granville, NC) and Ellen Nelson.
Mattie Ellen Lankford married Jessie Monroe Baker, son of Johnson Baker and Mary Baker, at the age of 18 in the township of Melville (now Mebane). On June 15, 1902 (my birthday!). The marriage certificate states "father unknown" and mother as Martha Langford (with a "g") but signature of officiating minister spelled Mattie's name with the letter "k". HOWEVER, as you read below....her death certificate (Mattie Ellen Lankford Baker Parker) shows Ellen Nelson as mother and James Lankford as father.
In 1930 Census she is shown as a "Boarder" in Graham, Alamance County under the name Mattie Lankford. She was divorced from Jessie Monroe Baker but in this Census was called by her maiden name Lankford. Her marital status is listed as single, instead of divorced. This census shows her as 42 years of age with a birth date of Circa 1888. Her parents Ellen Nelson and James Lankford
In 1931, Henry Alex Parker (son of W.M. Parker and Mattie Chandler of Alabama), who is also shown as a "Boarder" in the 1930 Census where Mattie Lankford was residing in Graham, NC, married on September 14th in Virginia. Her name was shown as Mattie Ellen Baker and her marital status was "divorced".
I give the following of Ellen Nelson Lankford because she is the only daughter I know. ANY HELP will be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
I am looking for the father and mother of William Alwood (Allwood) and I would like to find birth records for William. I have verbal information that he came to America with Captain Thomas Cornwallis as Cornwallis' nephew and I and looking for any birth records that can corroborate this information.
William was born around 1750. I am not sure if he was born in Salisbury Plains, Wiltshire, England or if he came from there to America.
Is there anyone in Salisbury Plains I can contact for birth or census records around 1750?
I am looking for information on this/these man/men. Luiz/Luis Figuereido/De Figuereido. I suspect they are the same person.
The photo of the younger man came from a family member. I found the photo of the older man on a family tree from Brazil on MyHeritage.com. Do you see a resemblance? Luiz Figuereido was likely born circa 1885 /- 5 years of Portuguese descent. He's been identified in documents as a land or plantation owner -- possibly in South America or Portugal. He would have travelled frequently to England (Briton) between 1909-14/15.
Obviously, my heritage is not as precise as other dna sites but I got 85% Eastern European and 15% Balkan... How can I pinpoint it even better, can I read the raw data myself, is there forum or other sites that can help etc.. I just want to better understand it.
Hello, this is my first time posting here so I am sorry if I'm in the wrong place!
I received the My Heritage DNA results a few months ago (was made up with the results) and uploaded the DNA to Gedmatch. I was surprised though when I received totally different results from my original ones. I read up on how to decipher the matches and population stuff, but I am still having difficulties placing myself. Should I take both sites with a grain of salt?
I would be very grateful if someone could assist me in understanding my real results.

Seeking information concerning the possible incarcaration of David LEE (b. February 1881, Harlan, Kentucky; d. unknown), husband to Sylvania NAPIER (b. 25 October 1885, Harlan, Kentucky; d. 24 October, 1944, Marion, Smyth, Virginia). Searches of US Federal Censuses 1900-1930 reveal the married couple living together (with children, listed in birth order: Lovie, William, Sarah, Myrtle, John, George, Gladis, Franklin, Edeth, Edgar, Theodore, and Allen - compiled from all Censuses). In the 1900 Census, the couple is still living in Harlan, Kentucky, but by 1910 is established in Wise, Virginia, where everything looks typical through the 1930 Census. However, in the 1940 Census, David was living in Tennessee (after living in Harlan again) as a "lodger" without an occupation listed, along with a list of 17 other men with no occupation listed, and a Clarince NARMON and a Warden NARMON as "Jailer" and "Asst Jailer" respectively.
