Could I ask if anyone else is having the same problem as me with regards matching historical records on Family Tree Builder. You will know that MyHeritage comes up with historical records that appear in a green box on the individuals record and normally you would open that up to reveal the records that have been cross checked. However when I try now to open the green box up all I get are error messages as per below:
"Could not load QuickSave data: fetch-value-add.php: Match could not be found for match id: I-182861872-7-7000040-R-10446-28950374"
"Object with id: 'individual-182861872-7000237' does not exist"

just as a few examples of what I have been getting. It is extrememly frustrating as I am now unable to check these historical records any longer!!!
I would welcome anyones advice or whether you are having similar issues. Regards Tony
PLEASE help, I have filled out contact forms but no one ever replies! I have a 440 person tree. I've been working on it diligently. I got an email to download "free" Family Tree Builder. I did but the "sync" failed and said my tree was too large and I need to upgrade. I am not paying for the upgrade, I was told it was "free".
Now I am unable to edit (no little pencil icon) and the "EDIT"tab is grayed out. I tried uninstalling FTB, but I am still unable to edit. SInce I am ALSO unable to create a GEDCOM and move my tree to another site please someone tell me how to get my editing capability back.
I have a wee problem; I enter some data in my FTB on my computer and then sync it (which I thought would update it to my mobile app) but it seems that the data (which I changed on my comp) is overridden by the data that I have on my mobile app.
Case in point: I entered a precise death date for my great great uncle on my computer. After syncing this data doesnt appear, but reverts to the "1975" that I have on my mobile app. However, the marriage info that I also entered for him on my comp (of which I had nothing previously on my mobile) has synced perfectly.
Confused, I would have thought that the last entered data would have preference.
I am new here. I have downloaded Family Tree Builder 8 and I see the User's Guide is for Version 7. When I enter the Photos section by clicking the Photos button, the guide says there are three tabs - Photos, Search, and Import. I only have one tab - Photos. Anyone have any thoughts on why I don't see the other tabs? I have no pictures currently in my project.
I was also interested in the Virtual Cemetary but I saw on another thread that it seems to have disappeared in Version 8.
PS - Just loaded the "Sample" database and noticed that these tabs are not there either so obviously not something I've done.
(Must be a glitch on this forum site too - I've made a couple of "edits" to post afterward and each time it seems to duplicate the attached picture although there is only one picture posted.)
I recently downloaded the current version of FamilyTreeBuilder for the Mac, exported two GEDcoms from my previous software (iFamily), and imported it to a FamilyTreeBuilder project.
While all the other reports seem to work, when I attempt an Ancestor Report, the blue progress bar makes it about halfway, when the program crashes, freezing on the words ...initializing. I've waited several minutes without movement of the blue progress bar beyond that point, before I force quit the program.
This happens in both GEDcoms I downloaded, and regardless of the home person.
I'm new here. Really surprised at how much difficulty I'm having figuring out how this site works. Sorry if this is a stupid question, but: how do I delete family tree/site that I somehow became a part of?
At the top left I can switch between my own family site (which is called My name (23andMe) and another one I've never heard of (also suffixed with 23andMe).
For the last 10 days I have been unable to Sync or do SmartMatches or even go to my online Family Tree. I continually get a message saying "the software is unable to communicate with the online site" and the suggestion is that I do not have an internet connection which is clearly not the case as all other internet communications are working fine. After several letters to "Support"???? I have not had any response. Has anyone else had this problem? I can access My Heritage site ok by going through myheritage.com etc but cannot do anything in regard to my FTB anyway.
I have a family unit with husband, wife, and 7 children. All children are natural born from this marriage. It is the first and only marriage for both spouses. Difficulty is that the software has created a notation indicating "single father" on the husbands record and some of the children are shown as "half-sister" or "half-brother" to the other siblings. I can not figure out how to correct this without deleting all 9 persons and hoping for a different result by re-entering all of their data.
Just lost an unknown amount of referencens to churchrecords and trivia notes due to serious bug with the "notes" tab. Dont know if its called notes in the english version. Im using the swedish version were its called "Händelsenoteringar".
Since the last update Family Tree Builder has been mixing the content in the note tab with different people in my tree. At this point the Family Tree builder is totally unusable.
Whats even more anoying is that I contacted the support last week about this bug. No response..... So Im looking in to stop using it and move to another software.
