Half way up my tree the dates disappear from the people in my “Find a Person” drop down list and it is replaced with either “? - ?” or for some it still has half the date
eg, “600 - ?”
I’ve gone over and over the tree checking everything and it all seems good except this icon which causes me to think I have made a mistake. Any help would be appreciated. Does anyone know what this icon represents?
I liked to see the relation between members in my tree like "uncle wife's brother", now almost everyone is showed like "distant relative" even close family like my father in law. This also makes unusuble the relationship report. A really easy relation like father in law who must be: me-> my wife -> her father, shows "you are not related" and that sucks. I used to made reports to get the shortest relation between me and a member since I have so many people related in some many ways and now all has gone.
I had done extensive research a few years ago on my family, both my mothers and fathers side. Id like to continue but I can not rememebr my account details for the site/tree that I had created. I have found my old site and wish to continue as I have more information. What can I do to get my work back? What are my options? Thanks
Recently the delete area of data uploaded has disapperaed, in my tree of 50203 people, the MyHeritage site shows my site with 150609 people as I am unable to delete old non current updates, can someone please rectify this issue.
I'm not able to see photos any more for the people in the tree, either tree or profile view, although the photos are still in the photos folder. I note that everything seems normal if using Firefox or Microsoft Edge. I've re-installed Google Chrome for the desktop and it did not fix the issue. Using Chrome on a mobile device does not display these issues.
So the issue has been narrowed to Google Chrome Desktop, where I do most of my work!
My son has built a family tree on ancestry.com. Can I import it to myheritage.com? I don't want to remove his family tree from ancestry.com, I only want to copy it to myheritage.com so that it exists on both sites. Is this possible?
I used to be able to view my family tree but have been unable to for a while. I get a message saying "An error occurred. Please try again later". I tried using different browsers but no luck. Any suggestions? Thanks.
My wife, who is obviously a site member, has just received the results of her DNA testing. However I have found that I am unable to upload it to her profile. When I queried this with the phone help service I was informed that results of MyHeritage testing could not be uploaded whereas if her test had been done by Ancestry or 23andMe it could. This is crazy! Also she is unable to get her haplogroup details. What does she do - get tested by another lab?
Another thing, if she wants to compare a match with another person's tree, she also has to take out MyHeritage membership.
I am new to MyHeritage. So far I have a basic membership. I have been an ancestry member for several years, but want to share family history with those extended family members that are not ancestry members. I would like to create at least four sites with the home/starting person being one of my four grandparents on each site. Each time I start a new site with a new tree, MH wants each tree to begin with me, which I don't want. Is there a way around this? Thanks!
I have tried to export my family tree to Gedcom and it states that "Your GEDCOM file is being generated now. This typically takes a few minutes. When it is ready you will receive an email with a link to view it." It has now been over 4 hours since I first did this and I have not received an email with the Family Tree file. The webpage is still showing that it is generating my GEDCOM file! Please investigate what is going on.
