In the record matches page when you clisk on the green tick, you go to the page where you can copy data, and then when you return to the match page, the filtering options are not applied - you have to reapply the filtering options after every few green ticks - which is a pain. When you return after having ticked one and copied the data, that mtach should ont now appear if the filter has been set to pending.
The improvements to the "details" pane now makes it very easy to see which person has a Biography Note attached. Thank you, this is a very welcome addition. I think it will make a big difference for people who are interested in Family History - the stories of their family.
Every time I try to generate a genealogy report it comes up with an error message. I did not have any trouble doing it previously so I wanted to know if anyone has had similar trouble amd how did you solve it?
Everything was up and running correctly on the family tree with all photos showing. Then I installed FTB on my computer, and this is THE ONLY COMPUTER WHERE I HAVE FTB, and some of the profile photos aren't synced. They are visible and assigned to the person but do not show up as a profile picture. Oh well. as long as the pictures haven't disappeared.
Then I started getting report that I can't sync the tree and ftb due to duplicate persons. So I tried uninstalling and re-installing ftb. Now only perhaps 50% of the photos show up in FTB while they are visible in the tree... This is not what I am paying 200 euros annually for. What can I do except cancelling the subscription?! And please don't tell me again that I can only have FTB on ONE computer.
My heritage has been a good investment and I am pleased for the most part. However, I am finding duplicates showing up that I never added to my tree. Is this a result of a faulty software in smartmatches or discoveries? Also, once a duplicate appears it seems to be a laborious task to remove them. Any help is appreciated.
Edit: I just went to my home page and discovered that someone is confirming matches that in my name that I have not confirmed! I set my security settings so that folks can look but not touch. How is this happening?
How do I delete duplicate people during record or people matches? Somehow information that is already in MyHeritage tree is not being seen when checking matches. So I end up adding a person and then I later find out it is a duplicate.
Today, I found an entire family as duplication. How do I fix?
for years, I'm expecting some improvements in look of family tree and still nothing. This is the biggest problem of MH. It's too complex and unfriendly. For old people it's chaos. For me it's mess, that's why I prefer FTB.
I would suggest two types of view, one as present and one showing only ancestors of selected person with option to open other siblings. Even same look as in FTB would b awesome.
Next, easiest addition would be button for quick jumping from person to his parents etc. (see attach).
I have to say that Ancestry has it better. Main lines are always in the center.
When editing my "WELCOME" description on Family Site (opening page) .. the "SAVE" link / button does notwork. The "CANCEL" link / button works like a charm. I checked the properties for each of these buttons .. and it states: d.mhcache.com. Something within the software is screwed up. Has anyone else experienced this frustrating issue?? This has absolutley nothing to have with your Map Provider, all I am asking is to have included is the old spelling names of countries added to your dictionary, just so simple, I just cannot believe that with the technology at hand that this cannot be done, I and thousands of others pay good money to have total acurate records of our ancestors placed online and nobody gives a damm as long as they get paid each week.
How exactly do you make a bug reprot to this company (myhearitage) when their message system for reporting bugs is broken and their telephone line system results in the message "the other person has cleared " as soon as you press the correct option ?

There are several bugs that have been there for over ayear now and worryinbgly, nobody seems either able or prepared to fix them.
1) It is still impossible to restore the default welcome message on the family tree intro page
2) FTB version 8 still displays "invalid sync error" when syncing from the program, no matter what the result
3) When trying to post messages to help other users who have incorrectly copied information from my website to theirs, the page asks me to enter an anti-spam code, unfortunately the box with the spam code in it is blank therefore no message can be posted. see attached (if the system doesn't have a bug stopping me from adding the attachment that is )
I finally (after trying for a week) got a successful GEDCOM uploaded and then downloaded into Ancestry.com. Everything but the 1700 photos made the trip. The correct "photos included" button was checked. That was my first experience with GEDCOM. Is there any expectation of a different result with photos surviving with more tries?
What is the best way of adding periods of residency for a person? Say, 1910 - 1915 at Address A.
I know I can add, say, a specific date (for example, Residence -> Census), but rather than that I'd like to add a period with multiple citations to back it up (e.g. multiple censuses, yearly electoral rolls, etc)

In the online family tree, some family members have a black band on the upper left corner of their avatar/photo/silhouette. I've searched the help site and forums and cannot find the key to what this means.
There is potential here for a feature request akin to a centralized icon key/decoder.
