I just created a GEDCOM that marked my living relatives as "private" then uploaded it to MyHeritage. But when I view my tree online I am shocked to see my living relatives all have their names showing.
I hope this is only the view I see, and that everyone else only sees "private" or "living" or whatever, and their names are not visible. Please confirm asap. Thanks.
I have recently started to form my family tree. Unfortunately I have made one or two small errors, which I tried to rectify by removing data from them but it didn't remove the icon on my tree. Please can anyone tell me how I can do this as in some cases it looks as though my relative has more than one spouse etc. or in one case more children than they really do have.
I like to keep a clean and tidy tree as it could be confusing to others. Everyone makes mistakes now and then so this must have cropped up before. Please advise for the future.
I have corrected my family tree many times, both on the website and in the Family Tree Builder. It keeps marking my parents, my grandma on my mom's side, my brother and my brother's wife as deceased. They are all living and it's frustrating to see that it changed back. Has anyone else encountered this? What can I do to make it keep my changes?
I've spent days uploading supporting documents/photos to family members. Most of them seem to be gone / no longer associated with that family member. Anyone else having problems? Their "tech support" phone number just says that they are not available.
I don´t know if i use a good forum section but...
I recieved email 2 days ago that says my DNA test results are done. When i went to the page with them, site was only loading - neverending. It shows just basic stats but when i click on the full text view with results, nothing happened. Only rotating wheel. I try to use any kind of web browser but still the same. Only thing which is loading is that globe with percentual layout from redirect link in email.
What is the problem ? Is just server down ? And when i will be finaly able to see results ?
Entering the names of all these dead people into the family tree reminds me that I, too, am not immortal. That leaves a problem. How do I pass on control of the on-line tree I am creating to the next generation?
I have invited several family members to view our family tree but how do they access it? Presumably the invitations will only direct them to the website, but in order to see everything they will need to log on? Do I have to create user IDs and passwords for them using their email addresses stored on the family tree or do they have to go through a signing up process in order to see everything? I'd be very grateful for any help anyone can give me about this.
I've been using the free trial of paid membership thats been offered the last while to make use of a bunch of smart matches.
My problem is that I've had to add some family members I've found this way to my tree three times now, it keeps deleting them periodically (but curiously not spouses I've found who end up floating in their own little broken part of my tree).
Anyone ever experienced this before and maybe know what I'm doing wrong??
I have been using MH for a few years now and it has been very useful indeed.
I would really value communicating with another, more experienced, user of MH to help me understand some of the subtleties (smart) matching, etc... And to give hints on how to clean up some of the messy branches I have generated over the years.

I've tried to edit some information on people in my tree BUT when I click on their name and get the box on the left the "EDIT" pencil is light grey and I can't click on it. Can someone help me with this? Thanks in advance.
10 months ago my on line family tree suddenly became totally unusable and all information in accumulating over 3,000 individual entrys was lost. I spent four months trying to get help and all I got was promises that were NEVER kept and after that long I STILL had zero access to my family tree and it's hundreds and hundreds of hours of my time. I gave up and wrote the entire situation off .....BUT.....I then received an email a couple of weeks ago telling me they had a fix for the problems with my tree. I was instructed to download a NEW version of tree builder software then sync my tree using that new softward and all of my problems would be over. Today, I did just that....I downloaded the new version of tree builder and all went smoothly. Next I synced my family tree to my on line tree and it performed EXACTALLY as it had in the past 10 months. It downloaded 72% of my tree to the on line site then froze there and over the next 10 hours it never loaded anything further. That was precisely how the original problem occurred and......SO much for believing and investint even MORE time in this useless site.
By the way it is VERY handy to have tech support available between 11 PM and 3 PM 4 days a week. I supose I am the ONLY person who ever uses the tech support or maybe others have already given up on getting any help.
OK NOW I want to issue appologies because (somehow) after a two day wait, I go to my site and for the first time I can actually see my tree. Apparently it took a couple of days to take effect but NOW I have had a larg part of my work restored. The biggest problem now is that while I have my photos in the photo file they do NOT appear under the profiles of the individuals I had put them in. Looks like a have some more real work to do to try and find all of the photos I used and get them back into the profiles. My site was 3,125 members and now is is slightly more than 3,000 so I lost about 125 people of so but that is small potatoes compared to have NOTHING to show for my work. My thank you to tech persons who found a partial fix for my issues. Now if I can figure out how to get ONE of my now two trees deleted but I am frankly afraid to touch either of them.
Please help. The system inadvertently switched me to an earlier version of my tree. Family tree has had problems connecting all day. When I go to page for backup version, it asks for my password, and doesn't recognize it. I spoke to customer service and she swore, she'd call me, but of course did not. Now I have to wait till Sunday! Can someone help me here?
I've found that I have numerous duplicate entries in my tree. The instructions in Help are useless, as they appear to pertain to an earlier version of the software. If anyone knows how to eliminate duplicates, please pass along the information.
My Heritage states that I can invite three relatives to view my Family Tree for free and I have done so. My problem is that when they attempt to view the tree you try to charge them $15.00! Why is this?
I have noted for the past several months the Family Updates Emaill for our site has not been received by myself and several of my sites members have recently contacted me about also not receiving these EMAILS recently.
I have rechecked 'spam' and other EMAIL settings these have not changed no impediment there, neither have the the 'preference' settings on our MH site i.e. Send site members a weekly updates email & Subscribe me to this site's updates email are both checked!
These updates are important for my site members as it does keep them informed and engaged with our research project.
Are there any other MH subscribers experiencing this issue?
PS I did note an issue where another MH member had not been receiving 'Event Reminder' messages I do not think this is related to the 'Family Update Emails' however I noted my calender setting was also 5 years I have amended this to 10 years

This feature was available for me in the past. I Didn't do any changes in membershift of site members. It is possible to fix it back?
I have noticed that for the past few months, I am no longer getting any event notification mails from my myheritage site. In the past for any event like birthday,marriage anniversary etc I used to get a notification one or two days in advance but not anymore. I checked in my settings of the site and notifications are already enabled.
I also checked my spam folders and there also no mails of events
