I am Tammy Newton Beavers, married to Johnny Leon Beavers. Not Rae Marie Beavers, who is my mother-in-law and married to my father-in law who is billy Steve Beavers. This is very annoying and keeping me from liking this web site more and maybe even going premium. Please fix my profile.
Minor question. Found a family list which contains 176 people. I believed it contains over a thousand. Please explain. The list I found was to invite members from. I am doing smart matches and finding a lot of Lindbergs. However in this 176 list there are only 2.
In my "latest" Viewer History there is no record of 2 Site Members that are listed as having visited my site in the past 3 months. Is the error in the Viewer History list or in the Site Members list ? Please reply.
I entered details for my Mother and Father and the system assumed they were married and changed my mother's name. The only way I could find to correct this was to remove my Father then add him as a partner, but now he is no longer shown as my Father. I would have thought these days there are thousands of unmarried couples with children where parents keep their surnames but you do not seem to be set up for this. I don't expect to be taking my research any further with you.
When I created my family tree, I called it "Sinisi" Family Web Site. However, since there are thousands of "Sinisi" families, I would like to change it to something more specific. Can I do that? I would like to change it to Joseph Semone Sinisi Family Web Site.
Can someone or anyone suggest a viable workflow technique to insure that no duplicates get added through discoveries? I suppose I could check each entry for a pre-existing record but it seems to me that there should be a better method. Granted it is better than deleting duplicates. I would love to hear of any good method.
I am looking for my great-grandmother’s death date. Her name is Alice Mary (Wise) IVES. She was born in 1869 in Sandhurst, Berkshire, England. She married William Henry Ives in Sandhurst in 1890. They emigrated to Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada in 1894. In 1898 William remarried and I don’t find any evidence of Alice after her arrival in Canada. I checked Manitoba Vital Statistics and there is no record of her death. Any suggestions?
I have a tree with ~7000 folks in it stretching back to first century BC. I want to push discovery of my direct ancestors back as far as I can go on each branch. But where Ancestry.com offers a pedigree display of direct ancestors only for as far back as my data goes. I cannot find the equivalent in MH or FTB. Instead, with so many people in the tree, it is very ponderous to follow any lineage because the tree is mostly horizontal and very scattered as a result.
Is this a shortcoming in the MH and FTB displays? Or am I overlooking some setting that will present a direct ancestors only view (that is, beyond the self plus three-generations basic pedigree chart I find under Charts).
