Thank you for your help and you seem correct. I think we can access the content, BUT I cannot post new articles--it let's me attempt and then click Save, but the new articles does not show up in the list of Articles. And no where to add MyPages anywhere.
My son is a Senior web programmer--maybe he can offer to help them.
Different users have different menus? That is strange.
Perhaps if we keep this forum message going--someone from MyHeritage will reply.
Hello, I too have just discovered the missing/moved features opf our myheritage.com site "Message Boards" and "Links" which used to be under "Apps" along the main upper menu.
Thanks to this thread & Pat's info I too have found them under: Family Tree -> Manage Trees -> then under "Additional Family Pages" down the bottom.

I've successfully accessed, browsed, edited & added some new content to both my Message Boards & Links just now, thankfully.
However, it's very annoying this change occurred without any apparent official advice from MyHeritage.com.
Such poor service will certainly discourage me & other members from renewing any membership, and I'll certainly consider not renewing, delting and changing to some other online service if they actually removethe Message Boards & Links features of our sites.
I too will submit a support message querying such.
I did receive a phone call from MyHeritage (still no email) and I think they are considering dropping some or all of these features that were moved from the Apps menu. They said there is a glitch with a new web management system. My son is a Senior Web programmer and he is not so sure they cannot fix it to put those items back under the APPS tab.
So I am thinking they are hiding them so they are not used and therefore rationale for disabling some or all.
I hope not.
If so, I told them they need to give us considerable notice and way to download and save the postings we have made over the many years.

How do your partically manage many trees? Main tree 5K people Family only want to see their branch, which is easier to work on and it is easier to relate to your family, not your cousin's family. Family of one branch ok if their members see info of living, but not not others. No way to give permission to see only their part, so I made many smaller tree, which is great for collaberative family history work. Is is not ok for tree management. I have now have a growing number of smaller trees/branches to maintain. How do I tie small tree updates to the bigger main tree, which only I use because it is my tree vs my cousin's tree. Idea? Once you create a smaller tree from a main tree branch then this does create a separate family tree as you know. This then you as I understand have synced to your family site so that the respective family members will be able to view and possibly edit that tree only.
This is one way of doing it however as you mentioned you now have a large tree with all information and possibly several smaller family trees that you are also having to update. The information entered into the smaller trees can not be simply moved over into the larger 'Main' family tree as they are separate trees. This would require you to merge the smaller tree back in to the main tree and then handle all the duplicated information.
Also having many variations of the same family tree in the same family site will create a lot of work for you and other users with multiple duplicated SmartMatches.
You may however create a new family site to which you can place the smaller family tree and then invite to that particular family site the people that the tree resembles so that they may go to only one site and tree.
You may also export a branch of the main family tree to forward to a family member from that branch and they may create their own family site and take charge of their own family tree.
my feeling is that I did understand what Cassandra was writing about but MH did not undesrand the issue.
Please let me explain the issue in different words.
Under current data structure working on large family tree is demotivating the site members because of LOSS OF PRIVACY. Cassandra escaped form the sitation while splitting the tree into branches. and restrored site members motivation in collaboration.
Under current data structure privacy (note 1) can be assured while splitting the tree into branches. This is resulting content multiplication and differentiation with following troubles in content management due to lack of person/branch/tree merge functions. i.e. it GENERATE ADMINISTRATION WORK.
In order to increase MH ONLINE usability and site members colaboration I suggest to come back to my postes proposals for product improvement: a) implementation of extended access and privacy control and/or b) implementation of merge functions.
Cassandra, please be very carefull while putting sensitive content in private family branch. Configure content privacy carefully, keep in mind that Instant access / Smart Match / Discovery Hub will spread your (sensitive) content out of your control.
The best solution would be a new construct/feature of MH that might be called a view. Allow us to select a subset branch of our total family tree as a "named" view and allow some members to access only that view. Managers could still work on the entire tree.
We are currently having an issue with the upload GEDCOM process directly on the site. That issue is being take care of by the responsible team.
Meanwhile, please contact us on email@example.com, and send us your GEDCOM file, so we can assist you in uploading it to your family site. Make sure to contact us from the same e-mail address with which you are registered on MyHeritage.
Stacy , I too had this same problem. The feature no longer works in MyHeritage. This is what I was told by their support people. The only way to build a new tree from a gedfile is to upload ( for free ) the MyHeritage Family Tree Builder and go from there. What a pain in the a$$. It took me several weeks to get any answer from MyHeritage customer support .. or in this case ... lack of support.
The National Geographic test was also made by FamilyTreeDNA (FTDNA) and it's basically the YDNA-12.
If you get in contact with FTDNA through their e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org, you can ask them how you can simply upgrade your current test to other more complex ones. In some cases, you will not need to even send a new kit, because they can use the same samples you have previously sent.
You have the option to add the test results to a Family Tree tree created in the Family Tree Builder software only. The option to add the 23andMe test results to the family tree in the Family Tree Builder software will be available
in the next FTB-8 version, scheduled to be launched this summer. Here you can select the company that you tested with and enter your results but these results are currently not published to your family site due to strict international privacy reasons.
Therefor there is no option to "share" this information through MyHeritage.
I haven't seen anything about an upgrade to let me attach my DNA tests to Myheritage. is there any timeline for this. I have tested with both 23and me and familytreeDNA. would love to attach to them like I did with ancestry DNA.
"Strict international privacy" is a phrase that I have seen more than once. Could you please explain these? How do these rules affect my intention to share my heritage? And who (what government) is applying these rules. Who is being protected?
But in resume, you can read:

That means that in order to make all the site visible, it is necessary to invite people to become members of your site.
The reason behind is that in a family tree, a MyHeritage user may add information of many living relatives, such as photos, e-mail addresses, residence address, etc., that were not necessarily authorised by the relatives themselves to become public on the Internet.

i have checked and double checked to be sure and there is no repsonse to my question just an email telling me you have sent me a response, the last email from mh support from 17th july.
The forum board is where members ask questions and post answers, we come here for help other members who have either had this problem, can help fix it, or explain where we have gone wrong based on our own experiecnes with this site.
By deleting questions and sending private answers there is no benefit in having this board, we should all be able to see questions and answers asked and given by other members and mh team, we are not coming here to ask MH and in most cases for me personally anyway, i have tried to get an email response from you to no avail, so have come to the board in hope that someone else can help me.
If there are issues with the site instead of ignoring us post a message and tell us was is wrong, its quite possible that your are already working on the issues many of us having, but if you dont keep your customer base informed all your're going to do is be inundated with emails you dont reply to.
So i ask you again is there an issue with the ftb site not recognising pics, they show in both sites, but it does not recognise these pics as a personal pictures in the ftb site

iVE HAD A REPLY FROM mICHAEL who advised me to mark and tag photos etc to make them personal pics.
I have 3500 pjhots in my site so i know how to make photos appear as personal profile pics, the issue is the tick is missing from ALL my personal profile pics, but when i print the book for myself some of these pictures are missing NOT all of them.
I have sent more of the SAME screen shots but have had no response as yet.
Is anyone else having this problem with their profile pics? I can re mark and re tag these pictures but the tick will not stay in the box, and im not doing it for 3500 pics........
Also want to know if you can tag pics using a tab, i cant get the little tagging box to move on the tablet is there a trick to it??
