There used to be a link in Apps to add and read Family Stories written by users. Where is the link now? How can I access already written stories? Or have you deleted all those stories without informing?
There are many things MH decides to do or not do that are total enigmata to us serious MH users and are done in spite of our protests. I am just grateful that I raised a cry for help on this one some months ago and fortunately they immediately responded.
There's good reason these sites bill you one time annually. Leaves no incentive to make sure your customers are happy with your product. I will say that MH does offer way more for free than any others. Good info also
I wholeheartedly agree John. All of these genealogy sites are just high tech bait and switch scams. I don't get it. Either offer a great service that serious researchers pay up front happily for or hang it up, or make it all free.
Hi I am new to this site. I was wondering if there is anyone that lives close to the Wellesley Free Library to help me with this wonderful site? It would be nice to have a group be able to meet as well. Thank you Lesli
I'm getting upset!
I've disconnected the wrong parent from one of my ancestors anmd replaced with the right one.
The wrong and the right had the very same name, but were living at different locations.
The strange is that even though I've made the replacement above, the system seem to more or less automatically switch back and disconnecting my ancestor from his proper father and instead connect to the wrong father.
I've switched several times back to the proper father, but everytime the system has later on (not immediatelt) switched back to the wrong father.
Why? And how to handle?
It's pretty much all in the subject line. I started the Premium trial but can't access Premium features, not even smart matches work. Can someone from MyHeritage please check my account and try to fix it? Or else tell me what I need to do to fix it.
We are aware of the issue and doing our best to resolve it as soon as we can. Bugs and feature requests are prioritized according to how many users write to support about them and how much resources and time they require of the development team. Some bugs that seem minor may actually be related to the infrastructure and require major changes that effect many other features.
We do our best to fix and implement the issues you report with the resources available to us.
Until this is fixed I would suggest you use the workaround.
I posted a note a week or so ago about an apparent bug in the FamilySite, which results in documents (PDF or Word) no longer downloading, even though the thumbnail could be seen. (So the family history documents that I uploaded previously, and could previously be viewed full size and downloaded, could no longer be dowloaded or viewed full size). I received an email from MH that this was a bug that they were working on, but then my post on this topic was removed from the forum. What should have happened instead is that my post, and their explanation, should have been left on the forum for the information of anyone else experiencing the same problem. Not good!
I am looking for adoption records for my great-grandmother, Dorothy MCNEIL or MCNEAL. She was born on 9 June 1897 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She died 9 July 1979 in Wilton, Hillsborough, New Hampshire, United States.
Is your email correct? At the top of the window, near the right side, you'll see your name. Click on it, and several choices will appear, including "Account Settings". Click on that. Halfway down the account settings screen is the email address they are using for you. Is it correct? If not, change it.
Your email program might think that messages from My Heritage are spam, so it's deleting them. How to fix that depends on what email system you use. You'll need to make My Heritage a "trusted sender" or "safe sender".
