Just received an "invitation" by a member of My Heritage on my personal email. I did not accept nor followed the link. When I went to my homepage I found that I apparently already accepted the invitation ?? I would like to "research" this other family site first as I had never seen the name before.There also is no opportunity to "decline" the invitation. Has anyone come across this involuntary acceptance of an invitation ??
Two weeks ago "Smart Matching" no longer added information or close relatives to my tree upon confirmation. The feature accepts the match as complete but no new information or close relatives are posted to my tree.
After a few emails were exchanged with Tech Support the problem was identified as a "Bug" and my issue was logged.
Today the problem expanded. I can no longer edit or add information to anyone in my tree. When I attempt to do so I get an "Error" message, advising me to "Try again later". This new development has lasted throughout the day.
I use MyHeritage online rather than FTB due to past data loss.
Can anyone advise if there is anything I can do to remedy or work-around these problems?
This is to let myheritage know - that I have had it with your bad helpdesk ad support service. I have now been waiting from Dec / January (... cannot even exactly remember, as it is soooooooooooooo long ago - but I believe it is more than 3 months!!!!) - that I have been waiting to be helped by you. I have sent you various emails and I have also phoned you about 4 or 5 times and no one has helped me yet! Your backup service is not working on my side and I have lost most of my years and years of work and profiles. I have had it all on my own familysite, ( have not been working in myfamilytree buider as far as I know.) I am a premium plus member for many years and I cannot undstand how I am not helped yet - as I am paying good money for this service. Vague answers and promises are just not good enough anymore and I cannot tell you how crosss I am today. I was told various times that someone would phone me back, to take over my computer with viewfinder - to help me to retrieve this January 2016 backup. I also cannot get any ''discoveries'' anymore. Please get in touch with me! I have had various customer support ticket numbers and still no one is fixing my techno problem. My profiles are down tomore or less just over 4000 - where it should be almost 12000! I am extremely upset. My dad is failing in health and I cannot print this for him, which is what I wanted to do all along and your system and suport are now letting me down in doing this for him. I do not have much time left! If this is not solved - I am cancellng my very long subscribtion and I will let everyone know how bad your service to a very old customer has been. I am extemely dissppointed! I am going to the top with this - I am teling you now - solve this matter, or there are going to be ripples all over you! Wilma.
Somebody has mispelled maiden surname of my grandmother, and while all the other info like birth date, death, children etc corespond I would like to let know the other person to correct the spelling. It is obviously the same person.
Also, i just got match from GENI, there they have death date of my grandmotther as 5th February 1888, which is actually her birth, there is no way to correct the data, or notify anybody. There are other informations which I know I have right as I got them from archive entries and other people have them wrong. I just wonder how much can be trusted when people cannot correct obvious nonsence?
