It is "ex auctoritate vicarii generalia" - "The authority of the Vicar General" see https://books.google.fr/books?id=imrPAgAAQBAJ&pg=PA62&lpg=PA62&dq="The authority of the Vicar General"&source=bl&ots=9Wj-59hvBh&sig=crzRWRDC8gXJ_jtGf-pPjX80f1o&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwj6oOHCgKDMAhWBrxoKHZZ5AKgQ6AEIHzAB
This is the second time since March that the United States newspaper archives are not available for research. For weeks MyHeritage newspaper archives was unavailable without any explanation except "We are sorry" - no response to emails or phone calls. Now again, the local United States Newspaper archive is unavailable. No Preview Available for papers I've been researching through since I subscribed to this website. I am tired of it. I see the cute little icon of a newspaper but nothing to go with it. Get your act together. More and more people are unhappy with this poorly run research site. I want what I paid for, the newspapers.
If You go to the Family Tree Builder page (link is at the bottom of the webpage) and click on the Free Download button, You can see this build number. If You don't want to download it, just cancel this download operation.
Having had no response to direct emails i thought the community might be able to help me. I joined the site among others with genuine intention of a longer term membership of one or maybe more of these sites, but it is nice to be able to see what you might get first rather than popups demanding money every step you take. So I instantly gave up on my heritage feeling it falsely advertised as having a free search. If i can't trust them this quickly why would i trust them later was my thinking.
Then i got a free trial premium membership and i thought 'great - I should be able to see how this site will work' - but alas, is exactly the same, i click on a name and popups demanding $10 just to look at the file. So if i do extend the membership presumably the popup will continue to demand $10 every time i want to look at a record?
I am only now trying again because a distant family member contacted me and in his message was the statement " I don’t know if you are familiar with MyHeritage but you can join and access the family tree without incurring a fee." Popups tell me i still have time on my premium membership but I still cant get past a search that gives me a name and i can't even check in anyway it is the correct record without paying presumably $10 per view.
Could cost me millions! Surely this is not the case and it is in fact me or a setting on my computer? Given my experience so far i don't expect myheritage to respond but if any members have had any experience like this and worked it out i would be so grateful for any help!
I have found errors on this site. How do you correct this information. The incorrect information for one of the errors appears to have been writen by who ever took the pictures at the grave sites, where they substituted "L" for "F". So now you have the last name Ford instead of the correct last name "Lord". This is just one of the errors I have found. I must admit this has left me wonderig how accurate the MyHeritage database is to begin with.
I too have the same problem. Some has posted many of my and my husbands family on their tree and much of it is inaccurate. Since I am not a member here I cannot contact them to correct it. And why are living people being listed on these trees?
I am a graduate from China and i'm doing my masters dissertation about a chinese embassador to the US called Liang Cheng. I'm very happy to find some precious newspaper records in your website. However, it seems that i can only subscibe for 1 year to gain access. I wonder if there is any way for me to use these records for just a month.
