My DNA kit was sent to you via royal mail tracking and was delivered to you on Wednesday this week to which i recieved an email notification via USPS, however it still is not showing up as recieved by you on the website.
I have seen multiple threads requesting a pedigree view for years, but no response from MyHeritage. MyHeritage has a pedigree view for DNA matches, why not for our family trees? I am a long-time family historian who has thousands of people in my tree. The current vertical tree view. showing all family members, is unwieldy.
MyHeritage has recently released major innovations to its DNA matching system which have to potential to make it the best DNA system anywhere. But without allowing people to easily navigate their own family trees, MyHeritage is missing a huge market of people who are finding MyHeritage too frustrating to use.
MyHeritage has proven that it has the capability to show family trees in pedigree view. Please make this available to all trees so that people with more than a few people in their family tree will be able to use MyHeritage.
MyHeritage is almost there with a great website. Please release the horizontal pedigree view.
Recently I had 250 hits to my DNA. 2 eventually turned out to be NOT RELATED but somehow ended up as a match. Some were correct, some "no surnames shared. Some seem to be improbable as they are Scandinavian and in no way connected to my Ancestry.
My DNA showed I was 31% Sephardic Jew. I have looked up the meaning of Sephardic Jews Where did they originally come from? Were they part of the Jewish tribes? Some sites say they were not Jews or are not accepted as Jews. Can you enlighten me please? 28% of my DNA says I am Italian but cannot find any connection to Italy.
I went on 23andMe in 2013/2014, and uploaded my raw DNA on 1-5-18. It's still processing. I'm just trying to see if there are any close DNA relatives on MyHeritage. Not interested in my deep ancestry or anything like that.
I sent their help center an email on 1-8-17 evening/ 1-9-17 morning. They haven't replied. Yes, I know I'm being impatient. Yes, I know they will send me an email when they are done. The other DNA testing sites I've uploaded DNA to were much faster.
How long is the typical wait time? Are they busy b/c of the holidays?
P.S. Do you think when Watson and Crick stole a photo of DNA from Rosalind Franklin, they ever would have expected a future person to whine about how their uploaded DNA was taking too long to interpret?
" From the moment you successfully uploaded an autosomal DNA file from AncestryDNA, 23andMe or FTDNA to MyHeritage, yourEthnicity Estimateshould be ready within 1-2 days. Your DNA Matches can also take a couple days to be calculated.
If no DNA matches were found, you might need to wait a little and visit the DNA Hub regularly to check again. If you still don’t have DNA Matches, don’t worry! MyHeritage DNA Matching will keep getting better and better, and more matches will be found as more people upload their DNA data every day."
I don't even have ethnicity estimates yet. Why is it taking longer than planned? Did some software crash b/c of high holiday traffic?
I manage my daughter's account. She is 13, and shows as (under 20) on the site. She has several DNA matches, and I see that most have listed surnames. However I can find no way to add any for her. I go to "My profile" and can add them to me, but I can't find a way to add them to her.
I had my DNA as well as my parents DNA done and alhough the tests confirm they my biologigal parents there are major dicrepancies in the estimates. This causes me to seriously question the reliablity of the tests and I have a significant investment here with the purchase of five kits and a complete yearly subscription. I have sent an email request to sopport services but have not received a reply. The Iberian DNA on my mother's side is most likey Portugees based on what I know about her ancetry. It is probably Spanish on my fathers side but neither show up in mine. The same for Scandinavian on my mother's DNA that does not show up in mine. Even in the regional maps mine is not shown for Iberian or Scandinavian, Irish, Scotish or Welsh. None the less it needs to be explained.
I have attached the below comaprison in a text document because I don't think it is going to formate correctly in the body of the messgae.
shared 50% (3,624.4 cM) shared DNA 49.8% (3,608 cM)
Europe 93.9% Europe 100% Europe 90.5%
North and West Europe North and West Europe North and Western Europe
79.5% 98.5% 41.7%
North and West European Irish, Scottish, Welsh North and West Europe
Pretty much everyone who was born outside of Africa has some component of Neanderthal DNA, which was something I was really hoping to see in my resultsb but it was not included. Does anyone know if this information is available through MyHeritage? If not can you recommend a more thorough testing service?
I see that there are a huge number of posts to various forums about people inquiring about their DNA kits, results, questions, etc. and Remo seems to spend a lot of time posting the same answer to everyone to send the inquiry to support and not post to the forums.
Might I suggest that you could have a new forum titled DNA Inquiries - Read This First and put it at the top of the forum list where it cannot be missed, and have a post in it telling everyone to send their inquiries to support instead of posting to the forum (can you "sticky" it to keep it at the top)? Might help cut down on some of Remo's work.
I recently took one of your DNA testsand got some very confusing results. Mainly the total lack of Irish, Scottish, and Welsh DNA which showed as 0%. My mother's side of the family is mainly Irish with Scottish. My father's side is Welsh (on his fathers) and English (on his mothers.) I can confirm most of this through birth records, wills, gravestones etc.
I was expecting some surpising results, but it seems statistically impossible not to have any welsh, irish, scottish DNA (0%) it would imply that for the past few hundred years at every branch, everyone has been English...
Was there a mix up at the lab? or is there a really low accuracy of the results coming from myHeritage? It seems others have posted similar issues with other ethnicitys.
Tracking of my kit ceased 4 days ago. No response to my emails to DHL or myheritage. UK telephone number has a message saying they are at lunch no matter when you phone. I do not trust this Comapny and want my money back but they are seemingly uncontactable. Has anyone any ideas as how to proceed ??
I just had a quick question to ask. I set my DNA kit in about two and a half weeks ago and I've been tracking the results. I feel like nothing has happened and I'm just wondering if there is a time that it takes from the time it's mailed to time the lab would get it. It's been about two and a half weeks. am I too impatient or should I be seeing results
My DNA results have changed, for some reason I am now 18% Italian, and it does not show my British, Scottish, or Irish ancestry. I have a very extensive line in those 3 places, and cannot find anything Italian in my tree. We have royal blood in those places as well. My uncle works for the geneology dept. at the LDS geneology library. He has been able to get to B.C. lines. The test came back and was confirmed by his research, and a while later it all changed. WHY???
I have already contacted customer service regarding this issue with search results in Books and Publications but the serviceperson was of no real help. When I try to view ANY of the results for ANY of the people I have searched, I get the "BROKEN LINK" page. Is it my browser or just part of the service?
So, no customer service (the Swedish telephone number doesn't even exist!), I have called several other country numbers and left messages without getting a reply, or simply gotten a generic "we are unavailable" message. I have never experienced anything like this.
Please forward this message to this mythical "moderator forum", since I want a refund for all 5 kits I ordered.
I am extremely disappointed in my results I received this morning. I was adopted from Korea as a baby. However I found out today that the possible results do not consider Korea as a possibility at all. I feel this information was very misleading and my results turned out to be completely useless as I have no idea how accurate these estimations are. I would like to speak to someone regarding the results as they are clearly inaccurate.
