My name is Robin Astbury and I started this site.

My interest is in researching:

  • the ASTBURY and BENTON families originating from Curdworth, Warwickshire, England and all related families;
    also the HARTH family originating from Ober-Mockstadt, Hesse, Germany
    and the ZICKOMSKI family originating from Grabowiec, Poland.
  • the PEGG and MANNING families originating from Elmswell, Suffolk, England and all related families;
    also the DORRIES family originating from Wangelstadt, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany
    and the NAUMANN family originating from Munchhausen, Hesse, Germany.

i.e the families of my 8 great grandparents together with any related persons along the way.

Other than BENTON and MANNING families, all were pioneers of the Darling Downs region, Queensland, Australia

Also covered on this site is the family of John WINTER a pioneer of what was to become Canberra and the family of his brother William WINTER a pioneer of nearby Bungendore, NSW

If you are related to anyone in the family tree, I would love to hear from you - especially if you can provide corrections or additional information on any of the persons. If you have any comments or feedback about this site, please click here to contact me.
