He married Letitia GWYNN 27 Apr 1738 in Knotting, Bedfordshire, England, daughter of Thomas GWYNN and Elizabeth BUNNION.

She was christened 6 Feb 1718 in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire, England, died 9 Feb 1755 in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire, England. She was buried 9 Feb 1755 in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire, England.

 Married William Papworth 20 oct 1714, St. james, westminster. He was buried at Little Paxton.

They had six children : james, William, Mary, John, Elizabeth and Frances.

Sarah died 6 Dec 1782, Little Paxton and was buried 8 Dec 1782, Lottle Paxton
