WEDDINGS.

STEPHENSEN- TENNANT: At St. Joseph's Church, on Thursday morning, the 11th of November, Irene Elizabeth, fifth daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Tennant. Mitchell Street, was married to Dudley Soren, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. S. Stephensen, Cordelia. Ingham. The Revd. Father Stewart officiated. Mrs Harold Hammond, presided at the organ, and Mrs. D. Maroney rendered an 'Ave Maria.' Miss Esther Kelly acted as bridesmaid, and Mr. W. Kelly carried out the duties of best man. The bride entered the church on the arm of her father, who afterwards gave her away. The bride looked charming in a lovely old world frock of shell pink Chantilly lace, and silk net over matching taffeta, a tight fitting bodice of the lace, with high neckline and short draped sleeves. A very full bouffant skirt, showing pretty appliqued design of lace, from waistline to hem, a shoulder length veil of matching tulle with a small circlet of orange buds was worn. She carried a beautiful sheaf of pale pink gladiola, and small rosebuds. The bridesmaid wore a pretty bouffant frock of green shot taffeta, the bodice showing a heart shaped neck line and small puff sleeves. Her head-dress of matching tulle was held in place with small flowers. She carried a lovely bouquet of cream frangipanni. The reception was held at the Kuranda Cafe, where fifty guests were received by the bride's mother. A two tier square wedding cake was iced in pink and white., and adorned the bride's table. Mr. and Mrs. Stephensen left by the afternoon's boat for Picnic Bay, where the honeymoon was spent. The bride's travelling frock of blue flat taffeta was worked in white, with white accessories.
