West Chester Daily Local News obit 10-24-2001: "Theodosia D. Parker, 96, od West Chester, died on Monday, Oct. 22, 2001, at Sharpless Hall at The Hickman, West Chester. She was the widow of John Parker, Jr., who died in 1988. They had shared 56 years of marriage. Born in Halifax, Va., she was the daughter of the late Guy H. and Leora Havens Derrick. A graduate of the public schools in the Pulaski, Va., area, she also graduated from St. Mary's Episcopal College, Raleigh, N.C. She was a member of the Holy Trinity, West Chester. Her memberships included:AARP, Chester County Historical Society, Brinton Family Association, Women's Exchange and the New Century Club, all of West Chester. She is survived by a son, John Parker III of Norristown; a daughter, Martha Parker Esbin of Toledo, Ohio; a brother Ansell Derrick of Orlano, Fla.; a sister, Martha D. Heintzelman of West Chester; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 26, at the Church of the Holy Trinty, South High and Union streets, West Chester. Interment will be in Parkersville Friends Meeting Burying Ground, Pennsbury. Memorial contributions can be made to The Hickman, 400 N. Walnut St., West Chester, PA 19380. Arrangements are being handled by the Boyd Funeral Home, West Chester."
