Biography

About March 1859 the family left from "about 25 miles from Jackson,

Mississippi," in a wagon train with 36 wagons. They were accompanied by

the Bowman, Morgan, Bill Franklin,Benjamin F. Rasberry, and William Womack

families. By April 1859 they stopped at Apple Springs to "make a crop".

Later, some of the familes went on to Nogalus Prairie.
