I WAS ALMOST SURE THAT KATHERINE WILLIAMS CLARK (MY GRANDMA) WAS BORN IN 1872, BUT NOW I WONDER.
I FOUND A RECORD IN MY FILES FOR THE 1900 CENSUS WHICH ASKS THE MONTH & YEAR OF FAMILY MEMBERS BIRTH AND HERS SHOWS 1873!! HOWEVER THE SAME CENSUS SHOWED MY DAD AS BORN IN 1896 INSTEAD OF 1897; ALSO, IRA CLARK AS BORN IN 1894 INSTEAD OF 1895.
I WAS ALMOST CERTAIN THAT THE AGE I HEARD AS A BOY WOULD HAVE MADE IT 1872. ALSO, I THINK I HAVE HEARD THAT SHE WAS 15 WHEN SHE MARRIED IN 1888. I CALLED YOUR DAD. HE SAID HE SORT OF REMEMBERED THAT SHE WAS 15, BUT HE WAS NOT SURE.
I GUESS WE JUST CANNOT BE SURE EITHER.
