HISTORY: Carol Waugh (email@example.com) in January 2000, sent me a fat e-mailed file on the Washburn/Washbourne family, complete with footnotes and documentation. Most everything from the farthest back name down to Ebenezer came from (1) another Net connection; (2) Ancestors & Descendants of William and Mary Etta Southwick WASHBURN, by Beverly Davis Anderson, Oak Ridge, TN, 1993; (3) The Great Migration Begins, Immigrants to New England, 1620-1633, by Robert Charles Anderson, NEHGS, Boston, MA 1995; (5) Mayflower Families Through Five Generations: James Chilton (etal), by General Society of Mayflower Descendants, Vol. 2; (6) Francis Cooke of the Mayflower and His Descendants for Four Generations, by Robert S. Wakefield, General Society of Mayflower Descendants, 4th edition; (7) Lawrence Leach of Salem, MA and Some of His Descendants, by F. Phelps Leach, Highgate, VT, The Messenger Press, 1924. It was #5 that she cited as the source for Ebenezer, s/o Joseph.
HISTORY: From «b»«i»Our Family History, Brownell Family Website«/b»«/i», compiler Andrew Brownell, 2012, lives in Australia: He has a much different compiled lineage than I've discerned from the above notes.
