Robert was "lost" for many years--at least as far as "The Lusk Ancestors 1798-1996" was concerned. Their records said he became a member of Mount Hope church on Aug 13, 1871, but was suspended from the church in 1887 and moved to Seattle. WRONG! By 1887 he had moved to Spokane, together with his father and younger brother Alexander D. He was also married to Lucy M. Fellows, age 17 and they had a one-year old son, Loyd. (Robert was 36.) The family moved around the Pacific Norhwest, to Kamiah/Kooskie, and to Rainier, Oregon. They had 4 more children--Ray, Ethyl, Emmett and Walter. Ray Lusk, born July 14, 1888, was last heard from in 1931--as an inmate of McNeill Island, where he was held for counterfitting: 2 years and a fine of $100.
