Biography

Sir Peter (Petrus Veale) (Veele) son of Robert le Veal and Hawisa, was a Knight who flourished around 1276, and lived in 1311, the 4th year of the reign of Edward III, and he died in 1342/3, the 17th year of Edward III's reign He married Hawise (Hawissa, Hawis) in 1320/1. She was the daughter of Sir Nicholas Kingston (de Kingston) of Tortworth, who flourished in 1303, died 1330/1, from whom Pter probably inherited tortworth, county gloucester, in 1336/7, the 11th year of the reign of Edward III.
