Biography

!Joined the Confederate Army in 1862 and served as a flag bearer.

After serving 4 months, he moved to Saline, Missouri, where, during the

remainder of the war, he devoted himself to the care of his mother and

family.

Three of his brothers were killed in the Confederate Army under General

Price after they had been mustered out of service.

!He was the first wagon maker in Nelson, Missouri and one of the first

businessmen there.

!In 1903, he moved to Black Water, Missouri.

!In 1906,he moved to Galena, Kansas

!Buried in Oak Hill Cem., Galena
