In Normanby Reflections, Vol 2, pg 130 - from an account book belonging to Wm Miller, a farmer and carpenter, on Apr 7, 1897 he paid Adam Bowie 25 cents for a half day of splitting rails.
Adam was baptised by ADAM ROBERTSON, a minister of the Free Church of Scotland. Searches in Scotland have not found any information on Adam Robertson or whether he might have been a relative.
There were no witnesses at the baptism
