During Anglo Boer war the English families where move to Durban, Natal, South Africa. The were moved so quickly that there was not time to clear dishes etc. During this time Elizabeth was a Nurse. On return to the cafe the plates etc, where as they were left. A hand gun was found wrapped in the basement. This was a Smith and Wesson Model 2 38SW revolver dated 1888.
