Auto garage was on main street in Standerton. Still there in 1973. Alan Sutton met a elderly man at the garage that new William Braid and there was a group picture on the wall with William Braid

In Vryburg the one time William Braid painted white stones in the garden, the next day the dust storm was so bad that all the stones where buried under sand. And the sand had to be shoveled from the doors and windows.
