William Vogler Voglers lived at 2229 S. Main street and at 2237 S. Main street just a few houses apart. Census 1880 Wheeling Ward 5, West Virginia. Since the three boys signed-up for Civil War registrar, Who lived with whom. Joseph (my GGGrandfather), William, and John Jr. So, the three worked in the shoe making business, John tanned hides for the shoes and William and Joseph made shoes. Then in 1860 I found John Sr Vogler 56 yrs old living with a Shoemaker, possibly learning the trade. This is the West Liberty 1860 Census for Wheeling,Ohio, Virginia. Page #7, P.O. box 94 or 97. Where is the rest of the family? I think Joseph came to America in 1854 or 55 He became naturalize in Apr 1860 ( a 5 yr process) (also Married in May, 1860 at St Alphonsus Wheeling). The other boys were born in America, William was married and shows Virginia as place of birth, John Jr, not listed. They all show Hassen Germany as roots. I have found another Family in Wheeling from Elmgrove, Peter and Ida, they relate from Germany. Dad said we were related, My Uncle Dan bought peters house on High Street Wheeling (Behind the Carmolite Monistary) Lubic is who Ida married.
So, Johannas Joseph came to America and lived with John and Katherine Vogler, When he married he stayed close to the business. He got a house just down the street. Now, Who, What where??? Bill Vogler

Merianis Larkin My name is Merianis Larkin; I married Terrill Harrison Blake Matheson who was adopted by Ray Matheson. If I understand correctly your line goes through Georgia (she was the first wife of Joseph Ray Matheson) They had several boys. Ifthis is right I will try to find their information, Parts of that family don't like me.

Elizabeth Belle Graham Hello, Helmut, I am interested in your relationship to the Yount family. My great grandmother was Mary Kathryn or Catherine (Yount) Pifer, wife of John Richard Pifer. She was the daughter of Joseph E and Hannah Yount. They were all from Pennsylvania but John Richard Pifer father came over from Germany in about 1848. Records are in a lot of historical books online. I appreciate any answer as I am always looking for family connections. Elizabeth (Liz) Graham.
