jena gamblin if you havent done so yet do a internet search on Hoogland. It looks like the hoaglands are decendents of those that came from the netherlands. On the moorman web site "Later Day Saints" there are books about the hoagland clan, spelled hoogland. All the info on that web site is free. Hope this information will help you.

jimmy hougland Hi Jena, Thanks for the info. Hougland/Hoagland is originally from Scandinavia and dispersed from there. It is a very common name in Sweden & Finland and there are several Folk Heroes named Hougland . My line is from Sweden according to our family history passed down from my Grandparents, I just haven't been able to follow it back that far.
