There’s something magical about the impact of communication, when we know we’ve met a need, provided value, and spoken our users’ language.
Asaf, our VP Engagement & Monetization, oversees all customer engagement activities at MyHeritage. These activities, primarily communicated via email, inform millions of users around the world about the many features and services offered on MyHeritage, so they can further their family history research and get the most out of their MyHeritage experience.
Asaf joined MyHeritage in 2015 and spent 5 years leading the company’s Engagement team. At the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, and due to a dire need to scale up Israel’s testing capabilities, Asaf pivoted to an entirely new role, spearheading the rapid setup of the MyHeritage Lab, one of the world’s largest COVID-19 laboratories. Asaf served as CEO of the MyHeritage Lab until early 2023, at which point he returned to the company’s Marketing team as VP Engagement & Monetization.
Asaf has a B.Sc. in Biology from Hebrew University, where he gained experience in various research labs and studied experimental bioinformatics and population biology. His professional background includes experience in operational management, risk management, marketing strategy, product development, policy development, regulatory management, and accounting supervision.
Asaf is married to Sara and they are the proud parents of 4 children. In his spare time, Asaf is a fitness junkie and two-time Ironman who is passionate about movement, crossfit, healthy eating, and specialty coffee.
