LiveMemory™ works equally well on black and white photos, and photos that were originally taken in color. It also works well on colorized photos and photos whose colors were restored using MyHeritage In Color™.
Combining these features can lead to great results. If you wish, you can use the MyHeritage Photo Features, beginning with a blurry black and white photo. You can repair any scratches or tears, colorize it, enhance its focus, and then use LiveMemory™ to animate the entire scene into a memorable video clip. What are the requirements for a photo I want to use? A photo that is used for LiveMemory™ has to meet the following technical requirements:
Format: JPG/JPEG/PNG
File size: < 20Mb
5.2 > Aspect ratio > 2.5
Resolution: > 512/512px
If you tried to create a LiveMemory™ video, but it did not work (meaning you either got an error message or no email with a link to your LiveMemory), please check if the photo you used meets those requirements. If not, you can try to create another LiveMemory™ with a different photo.
I already have many photos on MyHeritage. Can I use LiveMemory™ on them?
Currently, on the web version, creating a LiveMemory™ requires you to upload a new photo. The MyHeritage Mobile App, however, allows you to select any photo you have previously uploaded to MyHeritage or choose a photo from your mobile device’s photo gallery. Visit the App Store or Google Play to ensure you have the latest version of the MyHeritage app installed.
Can I use LiveMemory™ on photos of cars, pets, and other subjects, or only on photos with people?
LiveMemory™ is perfect for reenacting nostalgic family photos. It also works well on photos with non-human subjects such as pets or vehicles. The algorithm can simulate parts of the scene not pictured in the original photo, as if a camera is following the movement beyond the edges of the photo.
Please Note (Our Commitment to Safety)
To maintain a secure environment for everyone, LiveMemory uses automated safety systems to review images. Please be aware that photos containing child nudity or suggestive content involving minors will be blocked. This includes:
Family Moments: Even non-sexual photos like bath time, beach days, or baby pictures.
Artistic Intent: Personal, sentimental, or artistic photos that include partial nudity.
We understand these are often cherished family memories; however, our strict policy is in place to ensure the highest level of protection for minors. For more details, please see our Terms and Conditions.
