The online Tree Consistency Checker employs dozens of different checks on the family tree data. In many cases you can determine yourself if the inconsistencies found for a person are erroneous or not, and personalize the threshold for errors, warnings and notices.
To edit the Tree Checker Settings, click the Settings icon located in the upper right corner of the list of issues:
Here you can disable any checks you wish to exclude from the report, or re-enable them. You can also configure the threshold for some of the warnings. For example, you can set the age above which you will be alerted that someone in your tree is probably no longer alive and needs to be marked as deceased, instead of the current default which is 110.
Click Apply to save the changes.
Click “Restore defaults” if you want to reset everything to the default settings. The settings are stored separately for each family site that you manage.
If the tree has changed since the previous report was calculated, or if the settings have changed, you will see a message at the top of the list, saying that you should really click Recalculate to run all the checks again.
