If you received an email from MyHeritage notifying you that you received a gift membership from a family member or close friend and want to know how to use it, follow the steps below:
1. Click “Get started” in the email you received to activate the membership.
Alternatively, if you are using a computer, visit www.myheritage.com/gift-membership and select “Redeem gift membership” on the top right.
For the MyHeritage mobile app users, we recommend simply clicking on "Get started" orange button in the email you received to activate the membership.
2. Your gift code should appear automatically pre-filled, but if not, please fill it in manually from the email. Then click “Continue”.
3. A pop-up window will open asking you to create a free MyHeritage account if you're not a MyHeritage user yet or to log in to your existing account.
4. Click “Continue” to begin using your subscription:
Once activated, the membership can be accessed on the web and on mobile devices.
NOTE:
The gift membership is a one-time non-recurring membership. You have 6 months to activate it from the moment you received it, and only then the membership will start to run. At the end of the gift membership period, you will retain access to your MyHeritage account and all family tree data and nothing will be deleted. If you wish to continue enjoying the full benefits of a membership, it will be up to you to extend your plan.
