Hello - I have my Lorey family history in Germany and US but cannot verify for certain Johann Wilhelm (went by Wilhelm) Lorey who I believe was from Gensingen.  He was married to Maria Elisabetha Arnold.  They had a son (geb 1804) named Heinrich Philipp Lorey who married Anna Maria Schmidt in Bishoffingen.  Maria Arnold was born around 1775 but I cannot find a firm birth date for Johann Wilhelm or his parents names. But I believe Wilhelms father was Ludwig Lorey and Ludwig's father was Christian Lorey.  several were Burgermeisters of Gensingen.   Heinrich Philipp) and his wife had two sons, whom I believe both emigrated to Ohio USA, but one of them Wilhelm Heinrich Lorey, was my 3x great grandfather and he married Katharina Kunnegunda Riess in Germany before moving to the US.  He had a son William, who had a son Frederick Hecker Lorey (my grandfather)   there seem to be no records on Wilhelm Lorey (circa 1768) other than that he was present at his sons wedding in Bishoffigen with his wife Maria Arnold, and they eventually returned to Gensingen area.

Does anyone know of Wilhelm Lorey of Gensingen area?
