My name is Bill, I am also researching family history. I am searching for my great grandfather who's name I believe to be Christo Brandolino. My information to this point tells me he was initially married to a woman by the name of Mary Delrose who he had two sons with, Jerry & Frank. I then learn he re-married a woman named Mary Florio. I'm unsure why the first marriage ended. I'm told Christo & Mary Delrose lived in Chicago & Joliet, Illinois with their children being born in Joliet. When searching Christo's name your information appeared on my search, and I see the information you have discovered regarding Christo & Maria Estelle Florio. My mother who is Christo's grandaughter and son of Frank & Lena Brandolino was told she was named after her step mother Marie Estelle Florio, my mother shares the same middle name of Estelle. This really captured my interest! I've been unable to discover any details regarding Christo, Mary Delrose, Mary Floria, there birthplaces or home cities in Italy. I,m wondering now based on the bio's you have listed as to whether my grandfather is also a relative of yours? I would appreciate any information you may have and I look forward to your replay.
Hi Bill, I'm confident we ARE related. I have read over your information, and I've been studying my tree and my notes regarding my research. I Don't have any children listed for Frank & Lena Brandolino. I have Cristo's 1st wife listed as Guiseppina (Josephine or Joseffa) Polei Brandolino married in Chicago Aug 8, 1920. You stated your mother is Mary Delrose? Cristo married Maria Estelle before 1913 and when he first immigrated to the US in 1909 he was 18 & single. In 1913 he is listed a 2nd time coming though Can to Michigan from Wife, Maria in Caramanico, Italy. He is 23, and it states he left the US last in 1910. SO, could your Mary Delrose be Maria Josephina Polei Brandolino? I need to understand more about your parents to understand where you fit in the tree. I can tell youthis....My Great Grandfather was Maria Estelles brother, Carmen Florio. He had my Grandfather Louis Florio, who had my dad, Lou Florio.
I had an active acct at Ancestry.com for a few months during the holidays last year while I was researching Maria estelle Florio Brandolino. I found her married name listed in an Obit from the time. When I started posting I was contacted by the Grandaughter of Lena Brandolino. She had a family bible naming my GG Carmen the Godparents of Maria & Cristos children. It was REALLY neat. I still have her email address. She & I exchanged A LOT of information. We found each other less than a month after her GM Lena passed away. They still live in Joliet....but I have to go and read my notes to make the connection exactly. Then I can update the tree & perhaps we can fill in the gaps together......Feeel free to send me email at email@example.com.
