Hello To All, Im looking for Ewers families, Im sure they all got to be connected someplace down the lineage, mine so far started in Ashendon Buckinghamshire England With Richard and Eliza. Please contact me if you have any in your lineage. Thanks Annie
I have done a bit of work over the years on my Ewers line. We seem to come from the Gloucestershire/Nottinghamshire part of the country. If you think there might be a tie-in with your research, I am happy to supply you with more information. Regards, David.
Hello David, So far I have'nt come across any in your locations that are connected, but that is not to say that they are'nt, many moved their locations about, 4 generations of Ewers' were born in Oxford and as I go back they are into Buckinghamshire in Ashendon and surrounding villages, like most families some of them moved about for employment or live where their spouses are from so who knows.
How far have you got back to in your research and to what areas(towns etc).
I find new connections all the time, and we won't know till we review what we have already. Thanks Annie
The research that we have done and a distant cousin, has taken us back to William Ewers born 1740 in Drayton Bassett. Parts of the family have lived in Droitwich, Evesham, Nottingham, Bristol and then Devon.
My wife and I now live in Adelaide so we have not had much chance to progress the research any further, we are hoping that another member of our family might get the bug sometime and carry on the work.
There are some intereswting Ewers's around in history, have you come across Sir William Ewers he married into the Dymock family in the 1500s, they were the perosnal bodyguards to the King. At that time the name was also spely Eure which better reflects the name of the canton in France where the Ewers's proably came from.

Hi Sharon, thanks for contacting me. I would really appreciate seeing a copy of the work your relative has done on your family tree. Could it be emailed to me at firstname.lastname@example.org Kind regards, David.
Sorry, I haven't looked at this site for quite a while. I can tell you a fair amount about my Ewers family. Can you tell me a little about your family i.e. where you are from and the names of your parents and Ewers granparents.
