I livein Poland.looking for my family roots .My great grandparents lived in the area of the forme rCzechoslovakia,I do not know the exact name of the city, so I do not know whether, after the collapse of the city now find myself in Slovakia or the Czech Republic.I'm looking fo rpeople named Hrušovska, Hrušovsky, I found this spelling on old photographs, but in Poland the name spelling was polonized and now writes Chruszewska or Chruszewski.
If anyone has information about persons with this name, please contact
maybe it is a bit far fetched, but my name "Broucek" by Germans mostly is pronounced as "Pruschek". Broucek is a rather common Czech name. A sort of "nest" is near Budweis in a village named Neplachov. Perhaps a person from this village went to a region where people spoke mostly german and adapted his name to his new surroundings. Maybe this is a false route, maybe its intresting.
