I found out in 2002, that my known father had adopted me. My birth father was Thomas Lee Jackson, born 1925, in Ohio. He married my mother, Carroll Bernard, in Sept.1949, in Carson City, NV, but they lived in San Francisco, Calif. He actually left her a note the same month, saying he'd made a mistake, and she never saw him again. She promised my dad never to tell me, but because of medical issues, disclosed my original birth certificate and other information to me when I was 51 yrs old. Apparently my aunts, uncles, and cousins, all knew, but kept this secret.
Anyone with information on this man or his family, possibly in Ohio.. I'd appreciate any information you might have. Thank you,
I am seeking information about Reuben JACKSON born about 1820 in Indiana, death unknown to me. He was a hotel keeper and a physician. Reuben Jackson was married twice, 1st, 12 Oct 1837 in Marion, Indiana, to Marinda Pasco (1821-1853), 2nd, about 1854 in Keokuk, Iowa, to Catherine (Weber) Miller (1819-1902). I hope to learn about parents and/or siblings. Please reply here or contact me by email if you can help or desire to collaborate.
Charles Alexis Jackson born Nov 19, 1858 Iowa. Married Catherine Amelia Bryant in January 1887 in Arkansas. They had 9 children : Marietta Mae, Edith Grace, Melvin Bernard, Harry, Margarite, Marjorie, Audra, Welby, Charles, Jr.
Need info on his life between birth in 1858 and marriage in 1887...........proof of who his parents were. I know he did not live in Iowa after 1886. After 1886 they lived in Arkansas and Louisiana and that is where all of his children were born.
The Jackson family left Ireland in the 1840's. Mother Father, 2 boys and 2 girls. Father and the 2 boys died at sea. Mother and girls went to Toronto where the Mother found work at St James Cathedral as a laundress.
