(he was the head of the family, that immigrated to the USA) born as Johann Theodor Herrmann, son of Johann Jost Herrmann in Bernsburg near my hometown Kirtorf in the former 'Grossherzogtum Hessen'
he was married with Katharina Dorothea Krieger, she had 1 brother Johannes, 1 sister Maria Katharina, she was married with Konrad Jakoby, my great-great-grandfather, 1 sister Elisabeth and 1 brother Heinrich Krieger, married with Karoline Zulauf which both also went into the USA They had 4 sons Henry, Conrad, Theodore, William and 2 daughters Catherine and Caroline.

Katharina (Kate), *07 06 1859 married w/ Otto Schreiber, had 1 son Henry Richard jun. who was CEO of the medical dept. of Georgetown University/Washington , 1 son Frederick, M.D. at University of Washington, Ear, Nose and Throat dept. , 1 son Herman in Lansing, 1 daughter Elizabeth, married w/ Henry J. Schneider, Washington/D.C and 1 daughter Emma, married w/ Walter Weidman, Woodbury/NJ
Heinrich Richard, *12 31 1865 married w/ Florence (?), had 1 son Johann Theodor, known as John Herrmann, successful bookwriter and close friend of Ernest Hemingway, John died in spring 1959 in Mexico, buried at Mount Hope Cemetary in Lansing, left his wife and 1 son, born in 1952 , Heinrich Richard had also 1 daughter Dorothea (Dorothy Teel), 1 son Richard , 1 son Robert (twin-brother of Richard) and 1 son Paul
Christian, *07 02 1868 married w/ Agnes Bauch, had 1 son Christian jun.,M.D.(since 1955 leader of a part of the Medical Center of UCLA, lived in Santa Monica/Cal., born 01 25 1921) ,
Christian and Heinrich Richard (Henry) led the John T. Herrmann's Sons Taylors Co. together after the retirement of their father, Christian also was director of the Citizens Telephone Company , leading member of the Rotary Club, member of the Crippled Children Commitee, in the boards of directors of Community Cooperation Industries, Community Hotel Co., Union Building and Loan Co.and the Central Trust Co., also treasurer of the Water and Electric Light Commissioners and the Ingham County Chapter of the Red Cross , leader of the Lansing YMCA-office , superintendent of the sunday school of the Emanuel Lutheran Church and president of the fellowship board of the college Lutheran Student Church , he died 08 03 1949, buried at Estes-Leadly Funural, Mount Hope, Lansing (private crypt of the Herrmann-family)
Marie, *07 02 1868 , unmarried , was a twin sister of Christian, lived in Washington,D.C., died in August 1948, buried also at the Mount Hope cemetary in Lansing
the youngest son Karl Friedrich (“ Charles F.“) was born 06 02 1876 in Lansing, married with Mina Caroline Cook, last adress:Metropolitan Bank Building 612 Second Ave.,Minneapolis, had 1 son Conrad in Lansing and 1 daughter Alice Katherine in Minneapolis , he died 1933 in Minneapolis
John T. Herrmann founded the “John T.
