I'm looking for information on the Birth, Death and Marriage of Joyce Lee Marenda. She was married to William Edward Moore Sr. and had three children. She lived near Scottsdale, Arizona near the end of her life and at least 2 of her children were born in Phoenix.
My father would have been born in 1948 but this would make her 17 when she had him and she only married one man William Edward MOORE. I will check with my father to see if he remembers her year of birth. Thank you for replying to my post.
When you ask your father about her birth year, you should also ask if she had any siblings. That might help track her down. If she does turn out to be the daughter of Clement and Laura, it appears that her brother Dale might still be alive. If that's the right family, he could be a wealth of information.
A new YDNA project attempting to tie males with any variant of the surname Nipp/Knipp to their immigrant ancestors. This project is for males with any variation of the Nipp/Knipp surname, or males who suspect they are from that surname line. Thus, the individual who tests must be a male who wants to check his direct paternal line (father's father's father's...) with a Y-DNA12, Y-DNA37, Y-DNA67, or Y-DNA111 test and who has one of the surnames listed for the project, or genetically matches one of the surnames in the project.
Although females do not carry their father's Y-DNA, those who would like to check their father's direct paternal line can have a male relative with his surname order a Y-DNA test.
My name is Emily M. Matthias and I am a doctoral student in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at New Mexico State University. I am also a family historian, working on my own family (hi)story since 2000.
The purpose of my study is to explore ideas surrounding cultural identity formation using the pursuit of genealogy as one lens. I am interested in hearing from fellow family historians working on their own research.
