I am researching my husband's last name, spelled STREZENEC when great grandfather immigrated to America.
His family originated from Mala Hradna & Cuklasovce Slovakia. Sister immigrated from Hungary.
Any help in tracing this family line is greatly appreciated.

I need to find the death certificate of Alexander Greer born: 1813 in Carter Co. Tennessee, and died in 1880 in Grayson Co. Virginia. He is buried in Grayson Co. Va near the Mouth Wilson, NC. I need this in order to get into the DAR, to prove that he is the son of James Greer born: 1783 in Wilkes Co. NC and died in 1844 in Ashe Co. NC, James Greer had an Estate administrator by Jesse Greer and he did not mention any heir, so a death certificate will be my only chance. Willa Mae Carpenter Wood, Alexander is my ggg-grandfather. Thanks for any help.

If anyone is researching the surnames, Theres a decendant who'd like to know about his ancestors. Rivas is a French and Spanish Surname. Machado means Spanish and Portuguese. Some were in California and Texas.

My greatgrandmother, Charlotte Herchenroeder, married Emil Bader, a barber born in Basel, Switzerland, in Minneapolis, about 1873. Is this Charlotte the same one who immigrated on the Humboldt with widowed mother, Elise and brother Charles Otto? If so, did they stop in Chicago before going to Minneapolis? Another of my greatgrandmothers, Caroline Herchenroeder Krueger and her husband, Charles Krueger, were in Chicago from about 1865 - 1870 and were listed in the 1870 Census in Chicago before they and their children moved to Duluth. I had been lead to believe that Charlotte Herchenroeder Bader and Caroline Herchenroeder Krueger were sisters, but now my research seems to indicate they have different parents, so they couldn't have been sisters: maybe cousins??
I see that Christian Witte has posted many of the Schoenheinz names. I am trying to see where our Schoenheinz side may fit into the ones from Thuringen, Saxony original location. Am I able to correspond with Christian Witte regarding this?
