My grandmother Helena Polaszewska (Mikulska)was born in Milwaukee in 8.08.1912 and died in 28.08. 1971. She was living in Kierzkowo/Poland. Her husband was Franciszek Polaszewski. They had 7 kids.I am a doughter of Antoni Polaszewski.
Grandmam died before I was born.I just know about her a lot from my father and his siblings.
I am searching for information that would help me locate an individual born in Milwaukee County sometime in the late 30's or early 40's. I am not certain of her birth name but believe she was adopted by her step father whose last name was Schmidt or Schmitt. I was told her first and middle name are Barbara Jean. She worked at a Milwaukee area law firm in the 1960's that represented a relative of her birth father regarding a German estate. I was informed that at one time she may have resided at 733 N 42nd St in Milwaukee. Iwas told that she was single in the early 1960's but do not know that for sure. I would like to contact her regarding a connection to her birth father. The daughter of the birth father would very much like to connect with her having only recently learned of her relationship to her family. I am aware that this is not a lot of information, however, unfortunately all of the parties who could provide additional information regarding Barbara are now deceased.
