You've read that right, Shakespear sans 'e'. My question relates to why my family is missing the 'e' at the end of the last name Shakespear. I have several ancestors that include the 'e' and I am not sure if that was user error. I can track back the line through JOHN SHAKESPEARE 1481-1526, to my last Shakespeare ancestor, Zetta Shakespear Hatch 1901-1983. My question is does anyone else have the Shakespear with the absent 'e' in the ancestral line?
