Joyce Leaverne Poole Nobles, 63, of Cordesville, SC, a former cosmetologist and partner in “A Cut Above” beauty shop, died Wednesday morning at her residence.
Her funeral will be 2:00 PM Friday afternoon, December 21, 2012, in the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Cordesville. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER, from 12:00 Noon until 1:30 on Friday. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the American Lung Assoc., the Wounded Warrior Project, or to the Piedmont Hospice.
Mrs. Nobles was born August 4, 1949, in Gainesville, FL, a daughter of Uell Clayton Poole and Velma Elizabeth Hudson Poole. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, and she enjoyed cooking, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Nobles was a fierce person who touched the lives of many young people through her social abilities. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lacey Boling, a brother, Mickey Poole, and a sister, Sheila P. Keller.
Surviving are, her husband, Raymond E. Nobles; a son, H. Scott Boling and his wife, Glennda, of Cordesville; a step daughter, Renee Driggers of Summerville; three step sons, Eddie Nobles and Eric Nobles both of Cordesville, and Scottie Nobles of Alvin; two sisters, Nancy Player and Pat Crawford both of Russellville; a brother, J. David Poole of Bonneau; eleven grandchildren, Alyssa Boling, Alex Boling, Jack Boling, Taylor Nobles, Blaine Nobles, Loren Nobles, Kailee Driggers, A. J. Driggers, Hayden Nobles, Hannah Nobles, and R. C. Dennis; one great grandchild, Ava Ward; and special thanks to Brenda Hill for the love, care, and friendship she had for Joyce.
