About our family
What can I say about the Krone family? We are fortunate that so many of us have resided in York County, Pennsylvania. Also, a study such as this would have been much more difficult ten years ago. And new records are being added daily. I can't say enough about the processing databases: MyHeritage.com, Ancestry.com, and FamilySearch.com. Although most of my work is on Ancestry (including DNA research) I do like the genealogy tree and reports provided by MyHeritage.com. Life changing event: Occurred on 9 October 2017 when our home in Santa Rosa, Calif burned down by the Tubbs Fire. This fire virtually destroyed everything that we owned--including Rick's boyhood stamp collection, Valerie's pearl necklace, our passports, Rick's record collection, and all of our furniture and clothes.
Missing pieces
On my dad's side (John R Krone 1920-2018) I have a roadblock on his great grandparents: David (Edward?) Krone (1841-?) and Sarah (Ann/Jane?) Overly (1846-?). Who were they and who were their parents and when did they come to the US from Europe? I've also tried on ancestry.com and familysearch.com to resolve this. ANY information you can provide may help me. Similarly, the genealogy is weak of the Mary Seim side. I have been unable to find info past John C Seim (Mary's father) Thank you!
