Doesn't recognize that I've installed latest Flash version.

Greetings. I've tried to run the face recognition program but, it does not recognize that I have the latest Flash Player installed on my computer.  I have rebooted several times and DID successfully install Flash Player 9 but, cannot get beyond the webpage that says I need to get the latest FP.  Anyone know of a solution?  I tried the Flash Player Uninstall thing off of Macromedia.com but, I suspect it only uninstalls the latest version of FP, and not the older version I have on my computer. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Sabrina

This sounds like a glitch in our detection of Flash. Its also possible that on your browser cookies or Javascript are disabled -- both need to be enabled for our site to work well. Can you please visit www.browserhawk.com in your browser and post here which version of Flash it thinks you have, and whether cookies and Javascript are reported as enabled? This will be displayed at the top of the page. Based on your response well be able to troubleshoot this. If you're told that Javascript or cookies are disabled, try enabling them in your browser settings, empty your browser cache and then visit our site again.

Hi Gilad  - Thanks for referring  people to the BrowserHawk site to check their settings.  One challenge, however, is that  end users will come to the BrowserHawk web site, get confused, and wind up downloading BrowserHawk (as some of your members have done recently)...

We just introduced a way that you can add BrowserHawk to your web site instantly, without installing any software or doing any programming. You only need to add a line of JavaScript to your page header and can then link to it from any page.

This way you can put a browser troubleshooting and self-help page for your users directly on your web site.  They can also email their test results to you straight from the tool.  Its inexpensive too - just $0.02 - $0.49 (depeding on volume) when a user performs a test, with no minimum (if 10 people a month use it its only $4.90, etc).

Also since you mentioned your Flash detect script may have problems - you can use our Flash detection in your site too.

Please have a look at www.cyscape.com/products/bhtg/bhtg_ret.aspx .

 Thanks!
