Updating Tree - Forums

Is it possible to just update the tree without reuploading it? When I try to update it uploads the entire tree and takes an extremely long time no matter how small the updates are. Is it possible to edit the tree online for example add /edit dates or edit names?

Edit - Just noticed a bug. I posted this message a minute ago yet it says it was 4 hours ago.

Please "Check for Updates" in Family Tree Builder.

The problem you are describing is a known bug that we have updated in the latest version.

Let me know if this takes care of the problem.

No it says there it is fully up to date. I also checked yesterday and it said the same then.

Just to be sure we're on the same page, I've included a screenshot of the "Check for Updates" screen.

Can you tell me what version of Family Tree Builder you are running? If you go to the Help -> About Family Tree Builder menu, you will find version information listed there.

Yes that's what I'm doing. The version is 1.0.0.536 and it says it is fully up to date.

Edit - Trying again now and it's still not working. It's particularly annoying as I have a large number of photos and it's reuploading each one in turn.

Can I ask you to please uninstall and reinstall FTB?

Make sure to create a backup of your tree. (You already have one on your family site, but just as an extra precaution).

Then download and install the version at the link provided above.

There are fixes for publishing problems in this version as well as another bug fix which I believe may resolve the editing problem.
