How do you change the default photo in Tree View? The program just selects the first photo for the selected person. As far as I can see you can't change the order of the person's photos to bring the one you want to the top, and there's no option to select a particular photo as the default.
I can see this has been asked in the past but I couldn't see any solutions.
I figured it out for myself. For anyone else interested, click "Photos" in the person's box in Tree View, then double click the photo you want, click the Associations tab, then click the name of the person you want the photo to be the default for, even if they're the only one listed, then tick the "personal photo" box and "OK".

I was stumped with this as well, since the MyHeritage team changed the process for the online tree since I had last changed a default photo. The new process as of this post date (Oct. 2009) is:
Photos & Videos tab -> Tag People
On the right side of the screen, there's a listing of all tagged people. Find your person, hover for a moment while the context menu opens, and choose "Change personal photo."
That should open a new hover window with icons of all that person's photos. Click the new default photo to commit the choice. It should now show up properly in your tree.
When you click the "Photos" button in their Tree box does it bring up the photos you've already associated with that person? If it does, double click on the photo you want as their personal photo and there should be an "Associations" tab at the top in the next window that appears. I've just gone through the process again to check that what I'd said was right and it worked again for me.
